For sale is a 1969 BMW R69S. This beautiful bike is owned by a BMW collector and he wishes to sell this motorcycle. This bike has a Denfeld solo saddle, chrome headlight guard, new Metzeler tires, polished valve covers, Weinmann aluminum rims w/with safety bars, an aftermarket clamp-on sidestand, new chrome air inlet tubes, centerstand, stainless steel hardware, new charging system and battery, all new paint and pin striping, with original tank emblems. The exhaust system is not concours, having some areas of chrome flaking/discoloration. This motorcycle runs and looks great. I cannot provide a service or repair history on the bike as the previous owner, who owned it many years, is now deceased. A local shop has checked the bike over, fixed a few items, changed oils , cleaned carbs and tank, etc. It has matching frame and engine numbers (664497) . I have checked with Benchmark Motors and have been told that this bike is a true, original R69S, built in late 1968 or 1969. It does not have the sidecar mounts. It does not have an identification plate on the steering head. The speedo shows 63,160 miles. It is located in Santa Barbara, CA, and is available for personal inspection by appointment. It is being sold with no expressed warranty. Buyer is responsible for shipping and/or pickup. I can assist with truck pickup. I can also crate for international shipping for an additional charge.
