Vehicle Detail
Description We are proud to offer for sale this very pretty and unique 1973 ½ RS-look 911 T Targa with properly fitted “butt-welded” real RS flares. We purchased this car from a German mechanic in Texas who owed it as his personal toy. He had just finished a top-end rebuilt of the 2.4 CIS engine including higher compression pistons, new rings, valves & valve guides, oil return lines, injectors, heads redone, tuning of the CIS system, etc.. In addition, the fuel distributor was rebuilt & the regulator changed. The 915 gearbox is very precise with no syncro problems at all and the clutch is smooth and linear. The brakes are strong and straight. The car accelerates quickly and goes up the revs with a lot of ease and surprisingly strong power. This Classic 911 is a lot of fun to drive and the handling is terrific. It has been lowered to European specs and rides on 4 brand new Yokohama tires mounted on 16” x 7 & 8 Fuchs replicas that are in perfect condition. The car had a very nice repaint in pale yellow from the original Sepia Brown. As shown on the photos, this Classic 911 has no rust. The rear driver’s floor was changed at some time and the front trunk pan repaired as well. The work was very well done and not “butchered” as seen on so many early 911’s. The jack points look original and untouched, and the battery boxes are impeccable. The car was modified to run on only one battery. The interior is also really nice with good carpets and original seats. The underneath of the Targa top is in good condition, the outside has a small snag. The door pockets are aftermarket and appear to be new. All the gaps and alignments are excellent, all the seals look new as well as the glass. Furthermore, the top of the dashboard has absolutely no cracks since it is new and NOT one of those cheap plastic covers. All the electrical equipment works as it should with the exception of the clock. The exhaust is a Monza aftermarket with a great sound, however we can replace it with an original exhaust. We have over 100 detailed photos available for viewing upon request. This very pretty Classic RS-look 911 is ready to be driven immediately. Just turn the key and go. No rust, rebuilt engine and a lot of fun to drive. VIN : 9113111025 Engine number : 6133138 We have set a fair Buy-It-Now price, and will entertain serious, smart offers only.
