You are bidding on a 1978, 911 Turbo-look wide body Porsche. This is the first year of the 911 SC series cars, which had fully galvanized bodies and the bulletproof 3.0L engine. This car runs and drives excellent, and is mechanically sound. I purchased the car in 2004. I have since added: new brake rotors, calipers, pads, SS brake lines, CV joints, valve covers, ignition wires, distributor & rotor, stereo, speakers, antenna, speedometer, steering wheel, door pockets, reupholstered seats, window seal, sunvisors, backdated heat, lowered-aligned-corner balanced, Lindsey polished fuchs wheels w/Sumitomo HTR tires – 255/40R17 front – 315/35R17 rear – (less than 4000 miles on tires) – over $8k in upgrades and maintenance. The steel widebody kit and paint were done prior to my purchase. The paint looks great from a distance, but there are some areas where the paint prep could have been better. There are some rock chips in the paint, but nothing excessive. The first gear syncro is a little worn(not uncommon). All the other syncros are good. The sunroof operates as does all of the electrical. There is a small oil leak that usually leaves 1 or 2 drops on the floor after being driven. No issues with burning oil - no white smoke in exhaust. The car does not have the carrera chain tensioner upgrade, however it has had the chain tensioners replaced just prior to my purchase. That was done by the previous owner and is the only receipt I was provided with the car. The tensioners have less than 10K miles on them. The car does not have AC. I do have several of the AC parts that were supplied separately when I purchased the car. Those will be included with the car along with a car cover and other miscellaneous parts. I never bothered trying to reinstall the AC system as its design/function was marginal when the vehicles were new. I have always kept the car garaged, never driven in rain or snow, no accidents and never raced. The winning bidder must contact me within 24hrs of the auction end and make arrangements for payments, pick up, and transportation of this vehicle. At that time the $500 non-refundable deposit is due and the remainder is due within 3 days (72hrs) of the auction end! If no contact is made according to my previous instructions within 24hrs at auction end, I reserve the right to sell the car to the next highest bidder, re-list the car, or sell it otherwise. This car is over 30 years old and not perfect. It is being sold "As is". If you need more information, please ask! Do not assume anything not listed is included in the sale.
