1995 Honda Goldwing GL1500SE 20th Anniversary Edition You are looking at an attractive, Purple, 1995 Honda Goldwing GL1500SE, 20th Anniversary Edition Touring Bike with tastefull pinstriping. 1) It has a reliable 1500cc 6-Cylinder Engine with a 5-Speed Transmission + Reverse. 2) With 66,840 miles on it (mostly road miles) it Starts Easily and Rides Smoothly on an Air Suspension System that is adjustable by means of a Built-In Air Compressor. 3) The 4-Speaker (2 in Front & 2 in the Rear) AM/FM/Cassette Stereo, Electronic Cruise Control and CB Radio all work well. 4) It comes equipped with an Extra Tall Windshield, new Front Tire (which still has the nubs on it), a Rear Tire that has Lots of Tread with Minimal Wear, a Chrome Luggage Rack and Passenger Arm Rests. 5) The Honda Manual & Honda Tool Kit are stored in the Left-Side, Rear Luggage Compartment. Also, a Full Touring Bike Cover is Included. 6) It has No Oil or Coolant Leaks. Ownership: I bought this Goldwing Used from DesPlaines Honda. I am not the original owner and I do not know who the original owner was. Unknowns: 1) There are Intercomm jacks for both the driver and the passenger. I have not used either (because I don't wear a helmut), so I don't know it they are functional or not. 2) There is a momentary action push-button switch mounted on the Rear Passenger's Right-Side Storage Box. I don't know what it is for and neither did DesPlaines Honda Representatives when I bought the Bike. Imperfections: This is a used bike. It has been garage kept, was stored during winters & covered when it was not in use. I don't like to get wet, so it has not been ridden in the rain. It has minor scratches and nicks, which may of may not be visible in the included photos, but in general it looks very good. However, there are a few Appearance Issues which I will attempt to describe as accurately as I can. They are: 1) The Front Forks Chrome/Plastic Cover is visibly cracked. This does not intefere with its intended purpose, but it is a cosmetic issue. 2) The Rear Passenger Left-Side Storage Box Door Hinge (below the speaker) is missing a molded-in pin on one side. It has been taped inside the door to make it function almost normally. It was like that when I got it, and I have not spent much time trying to improve upon it. The door still works, but it isn't perfect. 3) The Windshield has a crack in it which is to the Left of Center of the Windshield Air Vent (as viewed from the Front of the Bike), extending down to just above the Cover Plate at the bottom of the viewable area of the Windshield. It was also like that when I bought it. 4) The Rubber Boots (on both the left & right sides) on the Passenger Footrest Extensions/Hinges are not in good condition due to age and deterioration. They protect the mechanisms from exposure to water (rain) and dust. I don't drive in the rain and I'm not crazy about dust either, so I didn't see a great need to replace them. 5) The Headlight Assembly is made up of 3 sections, the left, the right & the doublewide center. There is a crack in the Front, Right-Side Assembly Clear Plastic Cover (as viewed from the front of the Bike). It was like that when I bought the Bike. All of these Imperfections may be seen in the last 5 pictures that I have provided. Potential Transportation Arrangements: 1) Chicago's O'Hare Airport is close, about 22 miles NW of Elgin, IL. If you are coming from far away, you could fly here, buy the bike and ride it home safely and confidently. 2) If you prefer to Trailer the Bike, be sure that your Trailer is long enough to accomodate a Goldwing.
