I took this old Blazer as a trade in towards a car I had for sale and the work/parts done to it are as told to me by the previous owner. ***************NO RESERVE = High bidder wins at the end!******** This is a 1985 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 with about 5 inches of suspension lift (no body blocks), 37" tires, aluminum wheels, a rebuilt 350-V8 and 4 speed manual transmission with granny gear, power steering and brakes, removeable top, bucket seats up front and rear bench seat. Has factory A/C but most stuff in engine compartment was removed/disposed of when the engine was replaced. Truck is PA. state safety inspected through 10/10. Original owners manual in glove box too! Tires: Fronts are Goodyears with one in excellent shape and the other worn. Rears are swamper with about 20% tread left. Interior is fair.....has some tears in drivers seat, cracks in dash pad, stains in carpeting and missing carpeting in rear cargo area (padding still there)., and some miscellaneous wear and tear from age and use but very, very useable and comfortable overall. Looks decent overall. Body is actually pretty decent for the age and what these old Blazers normally are. Has the usual rust spot inside the wheel wells, A little spot at rear wheel well edge,some rust on rear floor when you open the tailgate (see pics) and little rust starting to show on floor edges where they meet the roackers. One rocker has some rust showing and the other rocker has been replaced. Tailgate is nice and solid...power rear gate window works and gate opens/closes properly! Drivers bottom door has some rust and the door window is missing. Tub is solid overall. passengers fender is solid but has a few dings. Drivers fender is solid, rear quarters/inner wheel wells are very solid overall, top is good with no leaks, etc.....All just typical/minor rust issues BUT much better than average for an 86 Blazer. All very easily repairable and can be easily patched/repaired with little work. Great just as it is for an off road toy or daily driver/work truck but easy to touch up and make really nice again. Looks very good overall!! Frame and mounts are all solid!! Paint is fair.....looks great from 10-20 feet but is not perfect....older repaint (amateur job), some scratches, chips and fading but still very, very presentable and looks really good overall. Ok....here is all the work that was supposedly done within the last year: Rebuilt 350 4 bolt main with cam, lifters, bored .20 over, crank done, etc....typical rebuild stuff.....new clutch when engine was put back in this work done in fall of 2008), headers, dual exhaust, recently rebuilt axles with 4.10 gearing and lockers, all new axle seals, some new brake work and wheel cylinders, lockout hubs, steering stabilizers, u-joints in driveshafts, some new spring bushings, etc......That is what I was told but I do not have any receipts or documentation to show exact dates, parts and costs for this work....sorry. Truck starts well and runs very strong. Can be a little cold blooded (fast idle) due to being carburated and takes a few minutes to warm up but again....she ain't fuel injected!! Motor seems extremely strong and sounds great! Very strong and resposive/powerful engine!!! Transmission, clutch and 4x4 all work properly with no slipping or grinding in gears. Truck runs, drives and actually handles the roads very well....I drove around locally for the past 2 days and was surprised how well it handled and how strong this driveline was....WHAT A BEAST!! It has been a while since I was in this old of a truck and she definitely ain't a new one, but man, she is a screamer and an on/off road monster!!! Brakes are a little spongy/soft......should be bled out as that was not done after the brake work/wheel cylinders were done. They pump up fine but are soft when first stepped on. Geared awesomely for climbing anything in low gear but still a 65-70 mph highway driver. Goes anywhere! There you go folks....it ain't new or perfect and she has been used and has been off road a few times but she was also this guys daily driver....he claims that it has never let him sit, never broke down (even off road) and has been a fun driver for him. Not too many daily drivers out there that can also go off road without worries. ****Please remember though folks....it is a 24 year old 4x4, has some flaws, lifted, oversized tires, used and played with and is NOT a new truck by any means. Truck is being sold as traded and that is all I know about the truck....I have had it 3 days now, I did not build it or do the work.
