1972 Chevy Custom pick up. Pick up is my son who is deployed. Truck is from Alabama all it's life and was brought back to Illinois after he deployed. It has is original paint, engine and transmission. Originally had air conditioning but it is not working and has pcs missing. Has the optional lower bed tool box. Only rust is on the lower corner of the front fenders and is pictured. Bed is in great shape. The truck was stolen from my son's base and later recovered. The suspect broke out the driver side 1/4 glass and jimmied the ignition. Truck ran great till it was taken. The ignition switch needs replaced and I believe the timing chain has slipped. The engine is not damaged, as in the block and rods blown. Truck is extremely original and sharp.On Apr-23-10 at 07:33:49 PDT, seller added the following information: ** The game plan on the truck was. My son called and said he couldn't get it started. he said it was backfiring and I told him it sounded like the timing chain had jumped. He has no tools, so I told him that I would come get the truck and fix it up for him while he was deployed. He originally was not going to get rid of it. Now he has decided to get another vehicle when he comes back in Oct. and he said to go ahead and sell the truck. That's the only reason it's being sold, not due to the engine and ignition problems.
