1966 Fiat 1500 Cabriolet/Spider, 5 speed convertible (Chassis 118k). 1 of 43,000 made (Consumer’s Guide to Collectible Cars for all models from 1959-1966). Piniafarina designed body is graceful and timeless. 5 speed overdrive transmission is suitable for back roads and the expressway. Fun to drive, and easy to park. Beautiful Italian design, with high horsepower to displacement ratio. New re-upholstered seats, plus full set of new red carpets, even window fuzzies. All chrome in good shape. 1 dent in front bumper next to driver’s side bumper horn. Current legal Georgia title. Selling to make space in my garage. This car needs brake work before it is driven. Car must be picked up in 30 days after sale. This car is light and can easily be towed by a regular sized car. Engine re-built, sounds great. Could be fun restoration project or easy finishing work for a daily driver. Reliable car, I have driven same model car since 1983. Parts readily available from nationally known Fiat suppliers in California and Ohio. Interesting facts about the model: This model has more gears and bigger engine that earlier versions. Standard Fiat engine drive train (easier to get parts). Most dash switches and levers have limited markings (adds to the allure!). Electric clutch on fan reduces drag on engine. Padded Dashboard. Full 3 point seat belt harness mounting points in car. Car does not have seat belts, but is set up to have them. Can accept larger newer mag wheels. Top is easy to put up and down while sitting in the car. Large trunk. Get your own vintage Fiat before the new Fiats start arriving on US shores.
