Vehicle Detail
Lloyd Bridges 1964 Lincoln Continental Convertible This beautiful This timeless four door classic was purchased by Lloyd Bridges in late 1963 and remained in his possession for over 15 years. The second owner was a driver for Mr. Bridges. It was purchased by the third owner in 1982 with approximately 72,000 miles on the odometer. The fourth owner purchased in Feb. 1993 with approx. 106,000 miles on the odometer. From what I have learned, I am the fifth owner having purchased in October 2000. I am certain I have put less than 200 miles on this vehicle since purchase. It starts and can be driven around town. The top goes up and down properly. The electric window motors all work. However, the front passenger window is weak. The AC/Heater does not operate, The AM/FM Radio makes noise but it may not have the antennae connected. The electric antennae does not work. The brakes stop the car but definitely need attention. This wonderful old car is a pleasure to drive down the road. It is very smooth. The pictures show that this car is in need of a complete restoration. The top is almost non-existent. The interior is a mix of vinyl and original leather, all of which is split. The paint is not the correct Desert Sand (T) original color. There is rust in a couple of places, front lower passenger and driver doors and left rear quarter panel. Four original hubcaps. I purchased this wonderful car with the plan to restore it to its original glory. Unfortunately, time and health issues have kept me from working on this car. This car is complete. I have receipts from two owners, the 1964 owners manuel and the 1964 Lincoln Continental Sales Brochure. On Apr-22-10 at 13:48:02 PDT, seller added the following information:I drove the car today and looked at the speedometer, odometer and radio. I mistakenly wrote that this car has AM/FM radio. It has only the AM radio. Please also look at the question and answer below that addresses rust concerns.
