Thank you for visiting our auction. This is a very nice example of a previously owned vehicle but is likely not in perfect condition. If you are looking for a car that is 100 percent perfect, you need to purchase a new car. If you are interested in a very good used car, please consider this car. Up for bid is a 1988 Dodge 4 wheel drive short bed Power Ram ½ ton pickup coming out of a Northern California estate. Thisis an old ranch truck that would be the perfect father and son project or other ideal minor cosmetic restoration piece. This is a short wheel base short bed 4 wheel drive Power Ram Power Wagon. Other than the V8 engine and the power steering this is a basic model truck with just the basics. The truck has been in storage and unused. The engine fires up and runs quite strong. The maintence light is on and will need to be reset. The 3 speed automatic transmission has an issue. The linkage does not seem to work correctly. The lever will move the way it should but the gear selection is not correct. It has only forward gears, no reverse not even neutral which tells me that the linkage for sure needs attention. It is not making contact with the correct gears at the lever which at least will need attention. It might or might not at the very least need a rebuilt transmission. The 2 speed transfer case seems to be in good condition. The interior of the truck is dirty but quite nice considering this truck has seen off road driving. Not heavy duty offloading just driving on unpaved roads. It is dirty in spots but you can tell it has not had a lot of use. The carpet is intact but dirty. This would be a perfect first time 4 wheeler project for father and son or ideal for hot rod project. It is always cool to have a short bed 4 wheeler. This would be an easy one to make into what ever your needs are at a very affordable price. This would be the perfect hunting vehicle or great for the dirt bikes. This would be a good one to leave at the cabin. Use it to snow board in the winter and tow the boat down to the lake in the summer. It does need some attention but is a very strong runner. That is priced with a very low reserve. It will sell this week. The truck has been in storage for years and has not been registered in California from 2008. If you are a California bidder there will be some back fees owed that if the new owner is from California they will handle only if the winner is a California resident. If the truck goes out of California no fees are due. Out of state bidders will be responsible for the sale price and a $55 document fee and of course the shipping to your location. The chrome is good but there is a kink on the driver's side. - The front grill is in good condition with normal wear. Small scrape on edge. - The hood is in good condition with normal wear. Missing emblem.- The drivers front fender is in good condition with normal wear. Slight damage at the front of the fender. - The passenger front fender is in good condition with normal wear. VEHICLE INTERIOR - The interior is in good condition with normal wear. Cloth. Good shape but dirty. - The front seat is in good condition with normal wear. - The floor is in good condition with normal wear. Carpeting is dirty. - The headliner is in good condition with normal wear. Cardboard still attached but is minus the cloth. - The door panels are in good condition with normal wear. - The dash is in good condition with normal wear. - The steering wheel is in good condition with normal wear. - The visors are in good condition. - The bed is in good condition with normal wear. Scratches but no signs of heavy use. VEHICLE ELECTRICAL - The heater and defroster is in good operating condition. - The windshield wipers are in good operating condition. - The power steering is in good operating condition. - The power brakes are in good operating condition. MECHANICAL CONDITION -The 318 8 cylinder runs and drives very strong. We have not detected any leaks or unusual noises. -The automatic transmission has linkage issue and might need to be replaced. -The vehicle operates at proper operating temperature. -The shocks on the vehicle are in good condition with normal wear. -The exhaust system is in good condition with normal wear. -There is no frame damage or modifications. Because we are very limited on space, cars not picked up within 10 days are subject to a $15.00 a day storage fee. We are available by appointment for vehicle pick up during normal weekday business hours unless you make special arrangements. Our weekends are our family time. All shipping charges are to be paid by buyer. If you choose DAS, we can transport your vehicle to the DAS depot in Hayward for an additional $100.00. DAS will charge approximately $200.00 to pick it up at our door. VEHICLE REGISTRATION, SALES TAX, SMOG, ETC. We are a licensed California auto dealer. The state requires that if you are out of state and plan on coming here to pick up your vehicle, California law REQUIRES the buyer to pay sales tax and obtain a one day permit from the Department of Motor Vehicles. This is not my law but the State Board of Equalization. It can be found in Publication 52, May 2005, on the State Board of Equalization website. Here is a quote from it as it pertains to out of state buyers: "For a purchaser to qualify for the exclusion from use tax described above, title (ownership) and possession of the vehicle or vessel must transfer tot he purchaser outside of California. When a purchaser exercises control over the vehicle or vessel in California prior to the planned out-of-state delivery, ownership transfers to the purchaser in California. Therefore, if any person other than the seller, or an agent acting on behalf of the seller, delivers the vehicle or vessel from California to the purchaser at an out-of-state location, ownership transfers to the purchaser in California, and California use tax applies. For example, if a purchaser asks a friend or hires a common carrier to deliver the property from California to himself at any out-of-state location, use tax applies." To obtain clearance of the use tax and I quote again: "Shipping receipts showing the date of delivery to a shipping agent and the date the property was delivered to the owner (if the vehicle or vessel was shipped). the recepts should include information that clearly describes the vehicle or vessel, such as the vehicle's identification number (VIN#) or license plate number, or the vessel's California registration number (CF#) or hull identification number (HIN#). If the recepts do not provide adequate information, you may need to provide additional documentation. Also, a vehicle purchaser may use from BOE-448, Statement of Delivery Outside California, to support the fact that the vehicle was delivered outside this sate." If you are a California resident, we collect sales tax, registration fee, documenation fee, and a $50.00 smog inspection fee. We then provide you with registration in the window so you can legally drive the vehicle until your title and license plates arrive in the mail. If you are an out of state buyer, you will need to pay a $55.00 documentation fee in addition to the price of the vehicle. PAYMENT INFORMATION Please follow the rules of the auction after it is completed regarding deposit and full payment deadlines. Anyone not following auction rules will be reported to Ebay and appropriate feedback will be left. There is a clear title on the vehicle. A non refundable $500 deposit must be sent within 24 hours of close of auction via Paypal, money order or cashier's check. Full payment needs to be received no later than 5 p.m. on the Friday immediately following the of close of auction. If you reside outside the continental US you must pay via wire transfer. Please don't bid if you are unable to follow the rules. We do not finance vehicles. You mush have your funds readily available at the end of the auction for payment. Your bid is a binding contract to purchase a vehicle. We do not accept credit cards. Due to an increase in nonpaying bidders, we must insist on a nonrefundable down payment deposit within 24 hours of close of auction. Failure to leave the downpayment will result in appropriate negative feedback and I will turn the case over the Ebay Dealers Development and let them handle the situation. Simply put....don't bid unless you are prepared to follow the terms of the auction. VEHICLE REGISTRATION There is a clear title on the car. All vehicles that are sold to California buyers that legally require a smog inspection will include the smog unless otherwise stated in the auction. Any California buyer will be responsible for all state sales tax, license and documentation fees. Out of state buyers will need to contact their own DMV office for registration and transfer information. We will collect a $55.00 documentation fee from out of state buyers.
