For sale is my rebuildable 2006 Prius. I ambitiously bought this car in January of 2010 in its current state; nearly completely disassembled. The man I bought it from; Richard Kughn, was the prior President of Lionel trains and had a shop in Detroit Michigan for his hobbies. His employees were tasked to take the components out of this car and attempt to build a 4 wheel drive hybrid minivan using the Prius front engine and the rear end from a Honda Pilot Hybrid. The guys found out very quickly that the electronics involved were way over their expertise, only after tearing most of the parts off the car, and so they sold it to me. I had planned to rebuild the car and have ordered all the body panels, lights, bumpers, etc. The only part I have not bought is the hood. I need to get some cash together for taxes here so I am forced to sell this not put back together. It has a Texas Salvage title that is able to be rebuilt. I saw big dollars with this car as it only has 26,000 miles, but again, I need cash now. It has two hybrid batteries, only from the car at 26,000, the other has 50,000 miles. The guys in detroit drove the car prior to disassembly. They had to order a brand new radiator to do so. Front right tire has nail in it and slowly leaks air. Not all the parts I have are photographed, but I guarantee that all parts minus hood are with the car, if they are not, you can contact me and I will order you the part. Interior is clean, glass is all in good condition. I am going to auction my Toyota on ebay to the highest bidder, meaning there is no reserve on price; if you win it, you WIN it. I am willing to work out an arrangement with the winning bidder, If desired I will put the car together to rebuilt condition minus paint job for $11,000 as long as I am paid half up front. I expected the car to bring around $13,000 or $14,000 finished so it is some what of a deal. I am simply trying to sweeten the pot here for the auction, you are not obligated to take me up on this offer and can buy the car for the final auction price. I suppose a man who just needs this car for parts would be miles ahead from other parts cars as the guys who tore it apart did it in a professional manner and broke nothing. I have 2 factory Toyota Prius Manuals that go with the auction, they are each the thickness of a New York city phone book. I am open to cash offers for the car.
