Sparks worked with Clenet in producing some of the first Clenet cars to be sold . After a time Mr. Sparks started his own company and built the Sparks roadster, the Sparks Phaeton Dual cowl limo, and the Spartan. Ron used the Nissan 280Z as the platform for his creation that he called the Spartan . The Spartan was one of the most successful neo-classic ever built. Ron Sparks built approx. 300-350 Spartans & Spartan II. Initially all Spartans were sold through Nissan [ then Datsun ] Dealerships.
