2006 Volkswagen Beetle TDI. NOT involved in the diesel-gate emissions recall (2009-15). 1.9L turbodiesel engine runs great and can be run carbon free on biodiesel. It gets at least 36 mpg around town, high 40's/hwy (see pic of actual drivers' mileage on fueleconomy.gov). DSG 6-speed automatic transmission, cold air conditioning, Pkg-1 options, cruise, Monsoon stereo, heated seats, power sunroof. It has an optional factory spoiler and optional 17-inch sport wheels (with a matching spare wheel). Maintenance and repairs done include the timing belt/tensioner/water pump @ 89K miles ($900). New starter at 97K miles, new air box sensor and carbon clean-out last year, and all the tires are like new. The interior is good, and holds a lot with the rear seat down (see pic). A new headliner was installed 3 yrs ago also. I am listing this for my elderly mother who doesn't have an eBay account and is not so computer savvy. I bought the car for her in between auctions in Jan 2010. It had 74K miles and she has only added 28K miles over the last 9 years! Technically there have been 4 owners, but I don't really count the 2nd owner, 3 mos/2K miles, nor myself for 2 mos. There are some scratches on the hood (see pic) from Hurricane Irma last year, but she still looks good! These TDIs are fairly rare and much sought after with such low mileage. They can last around 400K miles with proper maintenance, which is why they were more expensive new and now. I've researched prices for months and they are almost always higher and with more miles on them, so please, no low-ball offers.
