Owner's information about the vehicle below. This is an original Koening Specials 1985 Mercedes 500 SEC. VIN NUMBER: WDB1260441A110087. I bought this car 2 years ago from an owner, that owned it for over 15 years. The car was not running at the time when I purchased it. We have since got it running with many new parts. My mechanic is from Germany with over 30 years of experience and quite familiar with the Koening Specials. He went through this car and was quite amazed by the professional building of this Koenig Mercedes. This car was built on the widebody style from the ground up. The car is equipped with lowered sports suspension, custom exhaust system, 3 piece custom chrome BBS wheels and performance engine & transmission setup. This car is a rare find. Not many around these days and one of the most sought-after Koening Mercedes. My history with this car since owning it. We concentrated on the engine first, with the replacement of ignition module unit, fuel distributor assembly & air mass sensor, warm up regulator, idle control valve, fuel injectors, and major tune-up kit. We removed the gas tank and cleaned, replace some fuel lines and re-wired fuel pump assembly. We also have a brand new gas tank ( not installed). The car came with a pair of brand new Pirelli rear tires (not installed) Both included with sale. We removed the front spoiler to safely transport the vehicle and did not put back on, as we were prepared to paint it. ( front spoiler included) The car is running and very fast. The transmission had shifts smoothly with no issues. All fluids have been replaced The body had some cracks along both sides, where the widebody is attached. We did minor prep work to the said cracks. This car has never been in an accident. The prior owner did not properly store this vehicle, which allowed the weathering of minor body cracks that is shown. The interior will need some attention.
