Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1989 Ford LTD Crown Victoria LX four-door sedan. The car starts, runs, is drivable* and is being sold "AS IS." This vehicle is part of a probated estate and must be sold. The car has been owned by the same family since the original purchase. We believe it has less than 60,000 miles. The odometer shows 22,178; however, the speedometer cable was broken once, repaired, and broke again (current status), so the exact mileage is unknown. The estimate of less than 60,000 miles is based on a couple of things - 1) the owner's main driver was a truck; and he only took the Crown Vic out on rare occasions, and 2) according to old oil change records he kept, he averaged 1500-2000 miles a year. The car was stored under a carport covered by a car cover. The tires were replaced in 2012 and are in good condition with no flat spots. The interior is in excellent condition. * As stated above, the car is drivable; however, for the last four years it has only been driven 12 miles when we recently transported it from my father-in-law's home to ours; so we are not able to guarantee it is mechanically ready to be driven for any lengthy distance. Although there may be other things we're unaware of, the following are issues we have discovered:Broken Speedometer CableGear Shift Indicator doesn't move from "P" positionBack door windows don't respond to front or back power window buttonsThe power lock button locks all the doors except the driver's door. It has to be locked and opened with the key.The front passenger side door, even when unlocked, has to be opened from the inside. The heater blows cold airExhaust leak from the Y pipe Twenty-four photos have been provided to allow you to see the condition for yourself. If you have questions, need additional clarification/details, or wish to set up a time to see the car in person, please contact us at 937-545-5237.
