Vehicle Detail

1979 Ford F350 Crew Cab 4-DoorRanger XLT Trim Package460 AT AC PS PB Tilt Last of the great Ford trucks... 1979 F350 Crew Cab 4-door pickup in factory Ranger XLT trim. I'm a Ford guy, and restore a few dozen a year... I have NEVER seen a crew cab in Ranger XLT trim... they were almost always Custom base trim level. Not only is this one a high-line trim option, it sports the 460 4v engine option, and is loaded including Air Conditioning (included but not currently operational), Tilt steering column, power steering, power brakes, dual fuel tanks, HD cooling, and more. The truck is in running and driving condition. That said, she's a survivor, not restored. The doors and floors are exceptional. The passenger drip rail has some minor bubbles here and there under the paint, as does the roof just above the windshield (both pictured). Zero floor rust to be found, doors great, etc. The windshield has a crack in it. Truck shows 74k miles on the odometer. Strong running 460 starts right up, truck steers well, shifts well, stops properly. Overall a very straight truck with no major damage. Paint probably shows better in the pictures than in person, but the truck holds its' own... nice looking, hard to find. Very nice tail gate and trim. Interior is in pretty darned good condition too... upholstery intact, carpet intact, door panels, dash, etc. still looking decent and then some... not new, but in keeping with the overall appearance of the truck. My plan was to mount the truck on a 1996 F350 4x4 chassis that I bought. 38k miles, 460/auto, 6" Rancho lift. Dana 60 HP disc brake front axle. I'd sell you the complete rolling chassis from torque converter on down, including the dual fuel tanks, for $2k if you want it with the truck. You may or may not know that Ford made 4x4 Crew Cabs of this era, but they were short bed trucks. A handful of long bed Crew Cabs were rumored to have been made for utilities, railroads, etc. but I have never seen one, nor heard of someone owning one. This truck as a long bed 4x4 would be something to be seen. Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc. Please be prepared to pay in full within 3 days of the auction's end via cash, deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank wire transfer. While every effort is being made to describe the truck as accurately as possible, it is a 40-year-old classic vehicle, used and not restored, and expected to have issues associated with a used truck of this age and era. Sold exactly as-is, no warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. I can help you coordinate shipping if you need help. Feel free to call me at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have.
