Vehicle Detail
1991 Toyota MR2 2.0 Turbo For Sale I am selling My Red 1991 Toyota MR2 2.0 Turbo, 5 speed, T-Top, black on black leather. I have history with this car since 30k miles. It all started when my friend bought it a 30k miles back in ’93. Transferred to me at about 170K miles and continued to drive it as my daily driver till the current mileage of 245,000 miles about 4 years ago. The problem was smoking upon acceleration. Hold a steady speed of 40 or 60 MPH and you were fine but getting there was a smoke cloud out the exhaust. I purchased a new Turbo for it and figured I could clean her up but I think the oil rings were shot. I only ran the car for about 100-150 miles after the install of the new turbo kit before deciding to put her down and rebuild the car. This car was garaged the whole time, I still have most all interior original parts. I started with the basics, here’s a list. TRD Springs 1” lower, TRD Front & Rear Sway Bars, New front & Rear Painted Red Brake Calipers, Rotors, EBC Pads, Polyurethane Suspension Bushing Kit, New Leather seat covers, Foamed and reshaped, 1 heated by Local Upholstery shop, Berk Exhaust, ATS Intercooler, ATS CT27 Turbo Kit, Dynamat Extream Sound Deadener coated interior, New Shift Knob and Boot, 4 New Nexen CP641 Tires, 2 wheels refinished, Wheel Bearings, Floor Mats, High End Pioneer Premier Component set speakers w/crossovers, New Toyota Radiator, Trans rebuilt at about 175k miles by local shop. This car worked 100% before taking it down to rebuild, meaning Lights, light motors, windows, A/C, Locks, Keyless entry, Defrost, etc… New owners should expect to do a paint job, rebuild motor and finish installing the interior. Or modify it for Racing purposes.
