Vehicle Detail

1996 Acura Integra GS-R with very low miles of 56k. This car was bought new by a middle aged lady who owned it till Nov 2003. She ended up selling it to her friend, the second owner who was in his mid seventies when he bought it. He is now 90 years old and sold the car to us since his knees were getting too weak to operate the clutch. I can tell you he knew how to drive a stick, he was not an "always on the clutch" driver. As far as the car itself, it's in great overall condition. I would give the interior a 9.5 out of 10 only because the floor mats are missing and the door panel trim is not perfect. The exterior is an 8.5 out of 10 because it has blemishes which I have detailed in the pictures. This car has the original factory paint. It has been in an accident where it was side swiped on the passenger side. It was not major and mostly cosmetic. The damage was professionally repaired and there is no evidence of it ever been there. I have included 2 pictures of the damage that the last owner kept for the record. The car drives great! I have driven it myself for about 70 miles now AFTER I had replaced the timing belt, water pump, tensioner and some seals that are easily accessible when you do the belt. She shifts smoothly through all the gears. Clutch engages at the right point, not too low, not too high. It's not worn for sure. Reverse works fine too. Few of the things that are "wrong" with the car. 1) The driver side window switch lever is a bit loose/has some play, it still operates the window though. 2) The door panels' trim is "bubbling" on the arm rests crevices. See the pictures. 3) The passenger seat does not appear to go back further than you see in the pictures. It slides back and forth just not all the way back. Probably an easy fix.4) Minor scratches here and there. Again, the pictures will show them to you. 5) Some sort of "spider webbing" in the paint on the side of the front bumper, picture is included.6) I mentioned it in the video that the ABS light comes on every now and then. It has remained off lately. It probably had to do with it not being driven enough. I do not have the original window sticker nor any of the maintenance records other then the ones I took pictures off. The last owner was able to confirm he has been using synthetic oil in more recent years. The engine bay is clean, I did NOT have it professionally cleaned. MAYBE the previous owner did but I doubt it. It has always been garage kept and seldom seen rain according to last owner. Never left Florida. All door panels and hood have the VIN number sticker, engine is the original one. For comparisons; you should check out BringATrailer.com. They have a full history of sales of all kinds of cars including low mile GSRs. I am selling this car using my friend's dealer license for a smooth transaction of title and registration paper work. Best of success!
