What you see today is 1964 Galaxie 500 from the foothills of North Carolina. This car belonged to one family since new . Back in the day this family was very involved in the liquid commodities that the mountains and foothills of North Carolina are famous for. The family had three and this one was the only non 390-427 . It has heavy-duty rims an extra leaf springs helping assist with hauling . It was made to resemble the 427 car they had because the local police knew they couldn't catch it (the 427) . This car was originally White but was Paint It Black in the 60s. I purchased the car almost 2 years ago it had 37,000 miles on it. I have recently had it painted raven black using Dupont single stage paint, the wheels were stripped to the bare metal and also painted , I replaced the carpet and had the seats recovered in black vinyl using the original patterns. Tri-City plating in Tennessee done the bumpers . I had the carburetor rebuilt and installed a new coil. I painted under the hood , stripping the valve covers an air cleaner and power steering reservoir. This is a daily driver not a show Queen is still retains the original door panels , armrest , headliner, and glass. It can be driven anywhere anytime. I am under the understanding that this is the original engine. The trim tag on the intake says 1964. I have a 1964 4 barrel intake and carburetor that will be going with the car. If you purchase the car and want to hire a third-party inspector I will pay half for the inspection. The paint is less than 3 months old , the interior is less than 3 weeks old. If you keep up with my auctions you know I'm recently retired I just trying to stay busy. I don't require no deposit if you want it come look at it , verify what I say it is and we can go from there.
