Up for sale is an absolute workhorse 1996 F-Super Duty (F-450) Rollback tow truck. This truck is equipped with legendary Ford 7.3 Direct Injection Turbo Diesel with ONLY 149,686 miles. This motor is just barely getting broken in. Most of these motors have 250k + miles on them. It has the heavy duty 5 Speed Manual Transmission. It has a 19 foot Aluminum Jerr-Dan bed which works flawlessly. The wheel lift and the components which work the wheel lift are present but the wheel lift is not currently functional. Recent work done to the truck within the last 6 months include: - 6 Brand New Tires- Brand New Clutch, Pressure Plate, Throw Out Bearing, Flywheel resurfaced- All New Glow Plugs- Brand new rear brake lines As you can tell from the photos the truck is in very nice shape. The cab is in great shape other than some minor rust that is starting underneath the wheel well. The interior is in very nice shape other than some minor wear on the drivers side from entering and exiting the truck. The A/C works and blows ice cold. All the gauges work along with the radio. The truck drives very well for a truck of this size/weight. The cab is tight with no rattles and the truck tracks straight down the road. We just picked up a car on a 150 mile round trip last week and this truck rides even better with a car on the back. The winch operates as it should and has no issues pulling anything up on the bed. As you can see from the pictures the rollback functions perfectly. The aluminum bed will never rust and it takes a substantial amount of weight away from the truck compared to a steel bed. The frame of the truck is in fantastic shape as it was used sparingly during the winter months and when it did go out it was immediately washed when it came back. The new owner of this truck will be very happy with the condition of it. These trucks were big money when they were new and they still bring good money today. This 7.3 Turbo Diesel motor is the best diesel motor Ford ever made. They routinely go 300k-500k miles. There was an identical truck to this with a steel bed and 282,000 miles that brought $12,000 on eBay. The reserve on this truck is EXTREMELY reasonable considering the low mileage and great condition of this truck.
