Vehicle Detail
Bought the car 4 years ago with 286,000 miles on it and as usual had to fix several problems. Hard starting---glow plugs bad. Replaced all except #3&6--injector pump and oil filter housing in the way.Smoking--replaced all the rubber pieces in the pvc system and cleaned the inside of the manifolds.Replaced the rear shocks and rebuilt the rusted upper mounts for them.Fitted a new set of Goodyear 80,000 mile tires that come with a lifetime rotation, balancing and road hazard---about 25 to 30,000 miles left on them.Replaced all the rotors and pads including the parking brake shoes and the brake lines from mid-point to the rear including the flex hoses. Also replaced the left rear caliper(broke the bleeder off).Replaced the lower left control arm bushings.Fitted an after market transmission oil cooler (lines rusted too bad to try and disconnect)Replaced both rear axles and even have a spare one in the trunk--just in case. You can change these on the side of the road if you have to--tool to hold the drum in place is also in the trunk.Replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses and the thermostat, flushed the cooling system and installed a new block heater.Just changed the oil and the air cleaner 1500 miles ago and drove it back from New York to Florida and averaged just under 30 MPG.Has a custom made trailer hitch--11/4"Car is located in Orange City FL--plate it and drive it home--ready to go.Starts right up and shifts perfectly--doesn't leak or burn oil (diesel excluded)It's not a concourse car but it will get you to the concourse show and back--hey it's a Mercedes!!!Don't be cautious of the high mileage--this is a well maintained Mercedes diesel--got another 300,000 left in itThere's two repair manuals and a set of c-d's in the vehicle. Also changed the front drive shaft flex disc and the transmission mount---rear flex disc still in good shape with no cracksNO BIDDERS ACCEPTED WITH LESS THAN 25 FEEDBACKS IN PROFILE 11111
