1985 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole These 3-liter, V-8 powered 1980s icons represent an excellent way to enter into Ferrari ownership due to their relative affordability and ease of ownership, and can be divided into three different series. The 308 was carbureted from 1976 to 1979, with 1976 and 1977 models being especially desirable due to their more aggressive cams and lack of emissions equipment. The 308 GTBi and GTSi variants from 1980 to 1982 saw Bosch fuel injection replace the previous generations’ Weber carburetors, and finally in 1983 the 308GTB and 308 GTS Quattrovalvole (QV) introduced four-valve heads. The early carbureted cars and the later QV cars are strongest in the market place due to their higher level of performance. The Motorcar Offered: This excellent example is presented in Rosso Corsa with a Tan interior. It has only 40,800 original miles. The engine runs fantastic, delivering proper performance and an incredible exhaust note. The car has had it full belt service and water pump replacement just a year ago and all of its services are current. The transmission shifts flawlessly and the clutch provides a sure grip at the perfect contact point. The paint shines beautifully and exhibits very few defects limited to minor stone chips in isolated areas. There is no evidence of any previous body work or collision repair. The interior is beautiful with soft leather surfaces and almost no evidence of wear. The instruments all work correctly and all operating values are well within the specifications set by Ferrari. The air conditioning blows cold and works correctly on every setting. The tools, Jack and Books are present along with the service records. The tires are only a year old and in excellent condition. The car has a known history and clean carfax. This car is one of the best driving 308s I have ever experienced. It has great road manners and operates confidently every time.
