This 3 Owner 1988 Ford 5.0 Mustang LX Convertible is a True Time Capsule with currently only 3,030 mile (Yes, Three Thousand and Thirty). It is completly original down to the air silencer, zip tie wire holders in the engine compalrtment, exhaust system (including mufflers), wiper blades and even the spats are still attached inside the front wheel well liners. The Original Goodyear Gatorbacks and 15" Phone Dial's will also be included in this auction and if the "Buy It Now feature" is used I will also include the 16" Chrome Pony's that are shod with BFG G-Force Tires that are shown in the pictures. The Original Gatorbacks look great and have over 2,000 miles on them and the Chrome Ponys have about 1,000. the Pony Wheels were purchased only because I occassionally drive this car and was nervous about driving on 30 year old tires. Zero Rust/Zero Issues/All VIN Tags/Stickers are intact. Everything such as the radio, clock, convertible top, front and rear windows (not every Fox Convertible owner can say this) engine, transmission and even the ashtray door work flawlessly. The HVAC sytem also works as it should, but the AC (still R-12) could probably use a recharge. I have owned this beauty for a little over 3 years and have resisted the urge to modify her in any way and feel it's now time to move on to something else before I end up adding all of the modifications that I've been dreaming of in my head for the past few years that would only ruin this vehicle. Simply put you could not buy a more optioned LX 5.0 Convertible in 1988. Gray Leather, Red Bittersweet Stripe (this meant pinstripe delete) and AOD. The only issue worth noting is a small scuff on the molding under the passenger side headlight that I have photographed that occurred when the previous owner parked a little too close to his garage door that caused the scuff on the way down. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere as it is the 9th Fox bodied Mustang I've owned and simply one of the best. I have tried to describe this vehicle as openly and honestly as possible.
