The original “Slabbie” GSX-R750 is a rapidly-appreciating classic, and this low-mileage example could be the perfect candidate for a restoration or custom project! The engine is claimed to have been "gone through" recently, but we have not started it or opened it up to confirm. We o however have a bunch of pictures of the engine internals which all look quite good! The bike arrived in non-running condition but the brakes still brake, the shifter shifts, the clutch clutches, the bike rolls freely, and the tires hold air. It appears mostly complete and includes many new parts, including a new ignition switch and keys, throttle cable, petcock, and assorted gaskets, etc, as seen in the photos. What you see is what you get: includes everything seen in the photos, and nothing NOT seen in the photos. The bike arrived with the bodywork removed and is missing most of the fasteners needed to reattach it. This is a “barn find” not a “museum piece.” Paint on the tank appears OEM but the clearcoat is peeling badly. OEM bodywork is rough but complete, except for the missing right-side tail panel with the “SACS” graphics. Café racer? Old-school streetfighter? Restoration? Classic race bike? Or just put it all back together, add gas and oil, and ride it? This would be a good candidate for all of those.
