Well here we go again. I am beginning to think ebay is not a reliable site. I have sold this twice. The first guy wanted to have me send all the paperwork to him in Germany before payment was made. The payment details are clearly laid out in the auction. The second buyer became unregistered after he made the purchase and claims he never bid on the item. All the Bad guys in movies drove this rare barn find. James Bond would have his hands full with this car on his tail. Car is running driving rolling restoration. It needs very little work but can be driven now and worked on gradually. With very little effort this could be reliable daily transport. I bought this car from the second owner. He had driven it until 2004 when he parked it in his barn and forgot about it until I came along. The car started life in Germany where it was used by an executive until sold in 1987 to an ABC News Camera man stationed there. Between 1987 and 1994 it carried the previous owner all over Germany filming news and events. This car was there in 1989 when the Wall came down. In 1994 the car was imported to North America when he was stationed back in New York. All original customs documentation included so this car can go anywhere. In fact I have most documentation from new although much of it is in German. Please look at the pictures. Ask any questions before bidding. The car has some rust but structurally it is very good. Floors and sills are solid. Interior is clean and serviceable. Seat springs could use stiffening. Car rides on 16" 8j E11 Rial Wheels which are very rare on their own. Tires are Continental H rated with 50 % tread left. The Silberpfeil (silver arrows) Steering Wheel is AMG and Brabus of the day and also valuable on its own. The body kit and all the parts by themselves is worth more than I am asking for a running driving euro spec 500se. Glass and bright work (chrome) is in excellent condition. Windscreen has no cracks or chips. Headlights are clear and bright. All plastic lenses (tail lights side lights) are good to excellent with no cracks or scuffs. Since I have owned it I have replaced all 4 brake rotors calipers and pads (new) and replaced the 126 Fuel pump and flushed the system. This Merc starts up right away and purrs like a kitten. I would however replace plugs cap rotor and leads if I were to keep it. Car is registered to me and lives on Vancouver Island in the province of British Columbia Canada. This European Gangster car is advertised locally so I reserve the right to end the auction.
