This is my second GT, the first one my wife and I rode to Yellowstone Park and back to Florida, totally trouble free in the 70's so just had to have another one. I bought this 2011 knowing it had an over heating problem but I like a challenge, so in the course of the next few years, just about everything was replaced. The crank was inspected by Falicon Engineering and the seals were replaced, a new water pump and new standard pistons were put in and now it's terrific. Apart from the engine every part of the bike has been looked at, fork, brakes, new battery, new petcock almost new tires etc. What attracted me to this bike in the first place, everything is original and in great condition, just look at the chrome and seat. The mufflers have the inevitable dings that seem to be on all these bikes. The only thing I had to do was paint the tank and side covers I've put just over 3,000 trouble free miles on in that time and every time is a thrill. The bike lives in an air conditioned garage so there is zero rust. I'm not getting any younger or stronger and this is now hard to get on the stand, so time for someone else to enjoy it.
