For sale 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet C2 model 993 6-speed manual, the last of the air cooled Porsche 911 with the amazing 3.6L Varioram engine found in the last few years of production. This one is finished in the highly desirable and rarely found combination of Arctic Silver, Red Chestnut Leather and beautiful contrasting white dials. The car is a pleasure to view and to drive. In addition, this car is fitted with the factory Torque Limited Slip differential, OEM Aluminum/Chrome Brake & Shifter packages X71, X70, X54, 18” upgraded Wheels, Motosound package, Full electric power seats both Driver and Passenger, Hi Fi Sound Package, Remote CD changer and Windstop. At some point the radio was replaced with an aftermarket head, however, the original Porsche radio comes with the car. Full tool kit, spare, and Porsche cover are included. A copy of the original window sticker is available and includes listed options. Overall condition is excellent especially considering the year of manufacture. Wheels are good with some minor rash in a couple of areas, tires are all very good, paint work is very good with no dents or scratches. Interior is very good, leather is supple with no tears however there is minor wear starting at the lower edge of the drivers seat bolster, dashboard is excellent and everything performs as it should. There are some minor chips in the windscreen but I didn’t want to replace this as believed original. The door/window seal is showing signs of wear on the driver side at the lower edge but I will include a brand new Porsche OEM seal with the car. Convertible top is black and electric, all in excellent condition. The rear screen has no hazing or creasing of any kind, the headliner is also very good. Everything works as it should. The car always starts up first time, exhibits no smoke and settles quickly in to a regular idle. The clutch is smooth and the car accelerates nicely through all the gears and with that glorious air cooled Porsche sound that is generated from the Varioram engine with Porsche Motosound package. The car stops evenly and powerfully with drilled brake rotors all-around. Current mileage 50,167. Last service was at 49,788 miles (6/2016) and included Oil, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter & Air Filter. Major service items include new brake rotors and pads at 45,236 (2013), new steering rack 45,236 (2013), lowered with Euro springs 36,551 (2010), new clutch 36,029 (2010). Numerous oil service records. The car comes with a clear title, books, records, keys and alarm fobs. It was purchased originally in California, has 2 prior owners before my purchase and is now kept in a climate controlled environment in SW Florida. If you have done your research, you will appreciate this is one of the most desirable collector Porsches in the market.
