This is my 2007 BMW 335xi. I am the second owner, having purchased it from the original owner in March 2013. The car is well equipped as follows: · 335 means a 3.0L twin turbo-charged inline six cylinder engine with 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. · xi means all wheel drive – very good in the snow here in New England. · Sport package – sport suspension, 18” wheels, sport seats, 150 mph speedometer (not the most relevant instrument in the USA but it is there); · Premium package – all leather seating, full power seat function (w/ sport pkg), power folding mirrors, upgraded stereo w/ USB MP3, iPhone/iPod, Bluetooth phone, and AUX. · Cold weather package – heated front seats, ski pass through rear seat. · Other options include: Xenon headlights, rain sensing wipers, sunroof/moonroof, brushed aluminum interior trim, “Comfort Access” key which means you only need the fob on your person to start the car using the starter button – no key to turn. The prior (original owner) purchased a 6 year/100k mile extended warranty and maintenance plan from BMW when he acquired the car, and I have all service records from new. I have had it maintained at BMW specialists in the Boston area and Florida since 2013. All records are available. Issues are as follows: · There is a dent running along the driver side C pillar between the rear windshield and the rear passenger window, as shown in the photos. This has gone through the clearcoat and the paint but has not gone through the primer/basecoat. This dent has been there since 2014 and there is no rust or corrosion here as bare metal was not exposed. · The only warning light that comes on is in the info screen for the driver side adaptive headlight and the “angel eye” daytime running light in this same fixture. This car has adaptive headlights which swivel slightly with the steering wheel for better road illumination. The module controlling the swivel in the driver side light needs replacing, and the angel eye light is not working. The latter cannot be replaced on its own – the light fixture must be replaced to fix it. The lens cover is also yellowed vs the other side which still looks like new. The headlight Xenon bulb was replaced by me and works fine for both standard and high beams. I have used the car like this for the past three years without issue. · Stereo display pixels are faint – common issue on this generation of 3-series. · The driver side cupholder is finicky and does not retract and come out easily. I use the rubber tray near the shifter to hold my travel mug as it is contoured nicely and this works well. Positives: · Car is rust free. It was properly washed and garaged even through the winters here. For the past two years it has lived in Florida where it was not exposed to salt obviously. · The car revs and shifts exactly as it should. It is responsive and handles like a sport sedan. · All features and electronics work as they should. This includes the AC and heat which work perfectly on the coldest and warmest days, as well as instrumentation, windows, heated seats, internal lighting, etc. Notable service items include: · High pressure fuel pump replaced – 2009 · VANOS intake and exhaust valves repaired – 2014 · New brakes and rotors – 2014 · New ignition coils and plugs – 2015 · New struts and shocks all round – 2016 · New starter assembly – 2016 · High pressure fuel pump replaced again w/ guaranteed part – 2017 (this was a problem for this generation of turbocharged engine. New pump should resolve issue). · New battery – 2017. · Oil and fluids servicing carried out every 5k miles with documentation at BMW specialists who checked car each time this was performed. This is a luxurious feeling sport sedan that is well suited to winter climates with its AWD. The six-speed manual transmission suits it so well, with sharp handling and great throttle response.
