1956 Plymouth Belvedere with Fury Trim CustomizationThis is perhaps the only 4 door 56 Plymouth Fury in existence! Starting out originally as a 1956 Belvedere 4 Door Sport Sedan, this beautiful restoration was customized to the trim and option specs of a Plymouth Fury, making it truly one of a kind. The Plymouth Fury was a sub-series of the Plymouth Belvedere, but in 1956, it was only available as a 2-door coupe. The owner, wanting the Fury aesthetics on this vehicle, assembled a fabulous tribute model by mating several of the Fury's options to his Belvedere, making a true one of one custom 4 door Plymouth Fury. The 56 Belvedere/Fury marked the introduction of the first push-button automatic transmission to appear in an American automobile, and of course the dramatic and iconic rear raked tail-fins. The anodized gold trim accent stripe along the sides of the body (also a Fury signature) has given this vehicle a stunning presence. The original 277 cid 2bbl V8 engine was rebuilt with a 30 over bore and runs smooth. The interior was restored and presents as new. This gorgeous showroom condition restoration utilized only authentic/period correct parts and components. It was kept in secure, weather proof storage since its restoration over 3 years ago and is seeking a classic Plymouth lover to keep it looking beautiful for years to come.
