I am selling my 1968 Galaxy 500 convertible. I have known this car since 1994, it was cosmetically restored late 1994 and finished up in the spring of 1995. The car was driven only about 3000 miles from 1995 till it was put in a climate controlled garage in the early 2000’s. I bought the car last summer and slowly started to work on it to bring it back to life. First thing was to drain the fuel and replace the fuel sending unit. I replaced the fuel pump, the starter, distributor. Plugs, plug wires, thermostat, radiator hoses, starter soliniod, coil and a new Motorcraft battery. All this was done before I started the engine. I have had many issues in the past when a car sits for almost 2 decades, so, I just did it all. Once it was running, I then replaced the master cylinder and power brake booster, rebuilt the factory front disc brakes, and rebuilt the rear brakes with all new parts also. All the chrome is in great shape, along with the stainless and aluminum trim. The interior is very nice as you can see. The body and paint is in great shape, it is showing some small bubbles around the top trim. I see nothing else on the body. I put a new set of wheels and tires on it, the car drives fantastic!
