I am offering this 1970 base model 2002 BMW for sale. This would be considered a very good parts car. I have an Ohio title from 1980, but the gentleman that owned the car passed away, and it was his brother's responsibility to get rid of the car. I will give the title to the buyer, but it cannot be transferred because the gentleman whose name is on the title is deceased. I did get a signed receipt from this gentleman's brother when I got the car. I will sign a bill of sale and make a copy of the signed bill of sale that I received for the successful bidder. I am selling this only as a parts car, and the receipt will be worded as such. Here's the story on the car. The car last had tags on it in 1985. The car was running when parked. I have not attempted to start this car. The four-speed floor shift does go into gear. It was going to be a restoration project, but that never happened. Many parts (as shown) were purchased for the vehicle, and all of these parts are included in the sale. When I got the car, it had been sitting outside in the Cleveland area for approximately 33 years. It was sitting on blocks, and I had to purchase four good used wheels and tires to move it. The original spare and tire are on the car and are in good shape. The car does roll freely. The back drum brakes were frozen when I got it, and I broke one of the drums getting the brakes freed up. There were also no keys, so I had to punch out the ignition to get the steering wheel unlocked. Obviously, this vehicle is being sold "as is." Two forms of payment will be accepted: cash at pickup or a certified bank check. I will not release this vehicle until funds have cleared my bank, which in the past has taken up to 10 business days. I will not ship. If shipping is required, it will be the sole responsibility of the successful bidder to make arrangements.
