Vehicle Detail

Warning: This is a long advertisement. But, I have provided as much information as I can. This took me a while to write up, so please do read it! Introduction: Up for sale is my 2015 Triumph Thruxton 900 EFI in Brooklands Green. In my humble opinion, Triumph truly makes the most best cafe racer. It has the all the modern technology under its beautiful retro looks. I purchased it in Brooklands Green for that particular reason. Any british cafe racer should be green, right!?! She has been stored in a heated garage since the purchase. I installed a battery tender, front and rear stands and a motorcycle cover with anti-scratch inner layer. It has no cosmetic flaws whatsover. The bike has 126 miles on it. Yep, 126 miles! It has little to no miles on it and is in brand new condition and for good reasons...Read on! I purchased it from Sun and Fun Motorsports in Iowa City, Iowa on November 12th 2016. It was BRAND NEW with 7 miles, I think. I have included my 1st picture as I walked up to it. Since riding season was already over for 2016 in Iowa, I put it on stands in my heated garage and went to work on modding it. This is my 2nd Thruxton and I knew exactly all the mods I wanted to do. I performed all the work myself and used the factory service manual - every bolt and nut is torqued back to factory specs. No shortcuts taken, no cheap parts...Read on! Through the winter, I modded her exactly how I wanted to. I believe this is how it should have come from factory. When spring/summer came around, my personal life took a twist. My wife and I decided to get divorced. All of 2017 was consumed with divorce proceedings and the bike was contested as a part of the divorce. So, I barely rode it. I put close to a 100 miles or so breaking the engine in properly. My divorce was finalized in October 2017 and the motorcycle was officially mine. Unfortunately, riding season was over again. 2018 rolled around and being a single dad and dealing with work and such, I have barely ridden it. I have put around 27 miles on it. Anyways, time has come for me to part ways and move on. Honestly, I need to focus the funds for other priorities. Ok, now that we have this out of the way, lets get to the fun stuff, shall we? Modifications: I have completed "Phase 1" of the my modifications list. Most of it is cosmetic as I wanted to start there 1st... 1) Cosmetic Modifications: She is a Motone parts whore. Why - I really like the brand and developed a good relationship with Motone USA and procured almost all the parts directly from them or AJ Cycles in NYC. - Motone Lay Flat Dash Gauge Speedo/Tach Mount Bracket with Key relocation - Motone Custom Aluminum Flat Top vented gas cap- Motone quick release XL seat bolts- Motone quick release side panel bolts- Motone quick release seat cowl cover bolts- Motone oil filler cap- Motone choke knob - Motone Regulator/Rectifior frame rail relocation bracket- Motone fender elimination kit- Motone plug and play rear tailight harness kit- Motone plug and play front turn signal adpater kit- Motone LED lucas shape tail light- Motone billet 6061 aluminium black turn signals all around with clear lenses and Osram 12v Amber bulbs (Amber lens covers are included)- Motone Big Fin Header Exhaust clamps (These are not installed and included, I'd get them ceramic coated as well before I would install it)- Motone Union Jack Gas Tank Knee pads (These are not installed and included). This was a gift from the ex-wife, unsure how I feel about it - Lossa Engineering 1" Clubman bars- Lossa Engineering bar end mirrors- Biltwell 1" Thruster grips in chocolate - Black anodized aluminium adjustable clutch and front brake levers- Luimoto vintage brown seat cover- Spencer supracor seat modification. Check it out at greatdaytoride.com - I highly recommend it and Spencer is a great guy and I hope this brings him more business- OEM Triumph Thruxton limited edition Sixty 8 series single seat in black. For solo rides. For Phase 2, I planned on sending this seat to Spencer as well and doing a different Luimoto seat cover. 2) Power modifications: Header/exhaust modifications: - Cone Engineering "Shorty Perfomer" mufflers. I opted for the Black Ceramic coating option which was $100 more. - OEM headers coated ceramic high-heat black. Full story - I contacted ConeEng and got their ceramic coat color and had Bonehead do the OEM headers in the same color. I wanted them to be seamless and match perfectly. Bonehead came thru with a fantasic job. You can read more about their services here. (http://boneheadperformance.com/ceramic-coating/). Process took a month or so, but it was over the winter, so I had nothing but time! She looks and sounds amazing! These mufflers are on the louder side, but I love the bark and tone. I performed the break-in process to complete the coating adhesion mentioned. Triumph Twin Power(TTP) EFI Stage 1 Torque Induction Kit: - Breathe Airbox Intake Cover- DNA Performance Air Filter- O2 sensor Removal Kit- Secondary air injection removal kit- OBD-2 USB Cable - TTP EFI performance tune for short free flowing mufflers- Airbox baffle removal- Airbox snorkel removal I have 99% of the OEM parts I took off, as pictured. I have the factory owners manual, all keys and a couple of triumph keychains that will be included. If you want any NOTE: Motorcycle cover, trickle charger and motorcycle stands are NOT included. I plan to keep them if I ever get another motorcycle again. Shipping options:- I am located in Des Moines, Iowa. - Local pick-up is welcome. I can help work with a buyer to ship across the country at the buyers expense. I helped ship my prior Thruxton to Las Vegas. Payment options:- A non-refundable deposit of $500 USD is expected within 24 hours upon end of auction.- A wire transfer, certified check or cash for balance within 10 business days of auction ending. Finally:- I have it advertised her in several other places and will cancel auction if it sells elsewhere. - If you want to call and talk, want running videos, more pictures or have any questions about things I have not covered here, please message me directly and I will get back to you ASAP. My feedback should speak for itself here. Thanks for reading!
