Absolutely wonderful and preserved 1985 Honda Big Red 250ES. This bike was owned by a certified Honda mechanic. The bike spent its life at his home. When he retired in 2009 from the dealership we purchased a few bikes from him. The bike still had the original battery and air filter in it. Yes we kept and still have both of these items. In 2008, he took both engine covers off and cleaned out and inspected all parts. Also of course oil and filter change. He was meticulous with all his machines on the up keep so they would last forever. He had a license applied for plate from his dealership. If you look at the right side mud flap at the rear of the bike where the aluminum strip is that is where it was located. That strip can come right off if you want. The bike has had less than 2 hours on it since the motor was opened up in 2008. He told us at the time when we bought it that he did not put more than 6 hours on it since he got it. Bike is dated 6/84. He got this one out of the first three that showed up to his dealership. He said he had to have one when he saw them. We have started the bike up a few times each year. We do not kick start the bike. We have been told that it messes with the electric starter and causes them over time to fail. The bike does need a bath. How you see it is how we got it in 2009. It has had sheets over it to keep most of the dust off of it. Look at the last photo. It is of the inside of the tank. That is how nice he kept this machine and we have done the same. There has never been any tire shine junk on this machine. We think it is horrible to grease down your machine unless you need to to try and make it look better than it is. This is 100% as real as Honda Big Reds came from the factory. This is a great opportunity to own a 1985 Big Red 250ES. The time has come to sell it so someone can enjoy it.
