You are bidding on one 66 Chevelle SS-396 conv. project, Great start on a rare numbers matching rag top. Clean, clear, Indiana title in my name with an awesome 66,396 org. miles. I'm sure I'll forget some things in this listing but here goes. This was an Artesian Turquoise, Black Bucket Seat/Console, Black Power Top, Power Steering, PowerGlide Car from the factory according to the cowl tag (to the best of my knowledge)......forced to sell due to divorce/financial reasons, the car has many many new and rebuilt parts, I was building this for myself as a keeper, it is very solid and pretty straight with good gaps & minimal body filler, the sheetmetal and frame were taken down to the bare metal repaired, straightened, prepped & redone/repainted, the jambs, tail panel, hood lip trunk etc. have been repainted with the correct color Dupont Chroma Basecoat/Clearcoat, you will need a good bodyman to "block" this car out and shoot the color, the hard work is already done and its done correctly. Matching number EKH code 396 totally rebuilt, balanced, blueprinted, with all name brand parts by Van Senus Auto Machine in Hammond IN. and has never been fired, it has been filled with fresh oil/zinc and been primed so it is ready to start (you'll need a carb & distributor (or rebuild the originals) and minimal wiring to fire her up) , the org. powerglide also completely rebuilt and is ready to go, (including new converter and flex plate, new Right Stuff stainless cooling lines), stock exhaust manifolds, complete stainless exhaust,...entire car pretty much has all stainless bolts and lines throughout, drive shaft refurbed/balanced with new Spicer u joints, org. 3:55 open rearend flushed and filled/new gasket. Car retains its original floors and trunk with very minor patches welded in and dressed an aprx. 2" patch near the heel section of the gas pedal and some minor patching near the rear frame mounts , org. steel GM SS hood (NOT REPOP), Fenders, doors & deck lid also org. vintage GM, it has the "better" new rear full quarter panels installed (from Route 66 Muscle Car in New Lenox IL.) as well as outer wheelhouses, complete new brake system front to back from 'The Right Stuff' including all stainless lines, new wheel cylinders, pads, shoes, (drums turned) new front disc brake conversion with small Delco booster, (org. spindels will be included if you want 'em) brand new stainless gas tank and straps, stainless fuel lines from tank to carb (also from The Right Stuff) new front end suspension parts (tie rods, stabilizer bushings, ball joints etc.) remanufacterd era correct hv fuel pump, new aluminum hi-flow water pump, new "look alike" aluminum radiator, pressure tested heater core, new blower motor, new GM marked hoses. Repainted dash with new plastic trim, rebuilt speedo/gauge cluster, new matching single key lock kit, softseal door, trunk, windjamb rubbers/wheatherstrip, new tie rods, all four shocks, and many other items. (Things that need help/checked/rebuilt, - carb, distributor, alternator, door handles/window cranks, convertible top (frame is complete/intact and in ok shape but needs painted greased/refurbed, power pistons, lines & pump are there but no clue on condition assume the same for those) kneeknocker tach, carpet is older and hacked up/trashed, piston covers, rear seat, tires, are old and need replaced, some of the brightwork is old, etc. etc.) some chrome and emblems are nice/new, 66 buckets have been covered and are in ok shape, door panels are good ........... pix tell the story so please examine them carefully you will receive the item shown, however,......please contact me for an in hand description,and/or more pix if needbe, this is being sold as is where is, all reasonable offers welcomed 219-677-7296.
