Vehicle Detail
1966 TRIUMPH T120R BONNEVILLE 650 READY-TO-RIDE COLLECTIBLE CLASSIC BRITISH IRON* * ALL MATCHING NUMBERS * * NO RESERVE - YOU BID, YOU WIN! On offer is a very low mileage, well maintained, classic Bonneville 650. Arguably THE most recognized and celebrated British motorcycle in the world. This is a "survivor" with 95% of the bike original (replaced seat, spark plugs, ignition, battery, and a few misc. minor bits over the years). CHASSIS & SUSPENSION - "Dry" frame, never wrecked; very few scuffs and scratches. All original suspension working as well as can be expected for a 52 year-old bike that has been reasonably well maintained. WHEELS, BRAKES & TIRES – Completely original front and rear wheel assemblies; could use new tires & tubes before highway use. Brakes are fully functional and work as they were intended to in 1966. ENGINE – Engine is in very good tune. No significant oil leaks or rattling noises. Clutch & transmission work very well. Bike is a one-kick starter, unless it has been left to sit for a couple of months (fault of modern fuel, NOT the bike). Engine covers are a bit dull but will buff up nicely. INTAKE & EXHAUST – Amal monoblock carbs, freshly cleaned. Washable type original "pancake" air filters. Original exhaust system complete. IGNITION – Boyer electronic ignition. HAND & FOOT CONTROLS – All original footpegs & pedals with good rubbers. Original hand levers and throttle in very good condition. ELECTRICAL & LIGHTING - OEM headlight, tail light, wiring harness, regulator/rectifier, and all other electrical items (except ignition, as noted above). ALL in working condition. AGM non-spill battery. METERS – Meters in excellent condition, with original mileage (have added a few test miles since photo of odometer). CABLES – All cables in good condition, adjusted and working properly. BODYWORK – Gas tank, headlight ears, fenders, oil tank and sidecover all in good or very good condition (a few scuffs and scratches). Gas tank had a pinhole leak patched with JB Weld gas tank patch, and touch-up painted as shown; NO LEAKS. Seat is a modern replacement in excellent condition. DOCUMENTATION - This bike is sold with clean State of Maine registration in my name. SHIPPING - BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITY. I will assist with loading in my driveway. Will discuss other options once buyer makes deposit.OTHER - The Bonnie took 2nd place in "Street Stock" at a local motorcycle show; it would have won, had the seat been the original. I am certain a motivated buyer could find an original seat in very good condition, and swap the Boyer ignition for a set of original points. That would make this bike quite nearly original. BOTTOM LINE What you see and read here, is EXACTLY what you get. I have provided several decent photos and good descriptions, ask all the questions you want. As with every bike (50+), project (25+) and part (hundreds) that I’ve sold online in over 18 years (with 100% satisfaction), the above detailed listing contains no hype, no fluff and NO BULL. SOLD AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL, NO RETURNS, NO REFUNDS. Thanx for looking and bidding!
