Here is something that doesn't come up too often, a completely unmolested 42 year old Honda dirt bike. My neighbor bought it new from Motosports of Ukiah in 1978 but didn't ride it much, I spent the last two months bringing it out of it's long sleep, using original Honda parts, proper chemicals, and elbow grease. The only thing painted was the exhaust system, everything else as original including the tires which seem fine but use at your own risk. All cables lubed and adjusted including tach and speedo, valves and timing set, advance unit lubed, new air filter, carb and petcock rebuilt, luckily it had old school dinosaur juice in it so there was no corrosion, tank cleaned and sealed, new fork seals and boots, fresh oil, DID chain, Yuasa battery, original unused toolkit, everything works. There are two minor flaws, I had to amputate the spark arrester due to an unfortunate incident involving squirrels and the left sidecover is cracked, I was not able to locate one in a timely manner so I did a structural repair and let it go at that. Runs and shifts like new, super quiet, wicked good patina on the fenders. As my collector buddy says, " it presents well", looks like it was parked at the dealer in 1976 for it's 600 mile service.
