Vehicle Detail

What can I say? This bike is a classic. There isn't a guy over 60 who doesn't claim to have owned one of these at some point (this is an anecdotal claim based on the number of guys over 60 who stop me with that story every time I have it out, not scientifically verified at all). Those dudes tell me it looks like it just rolled off the line, but really, it looks like it's a 40+ year old bike that's been really, really well maintained and hardly ever ridden (read as, "shiny, eye-catching chrome, smooth running, everything still works like new, but there might be a small, .5cm scratch on the tank, and the seat is just starting to separate at one seam"). While I'm not the original owner, I inherited the bike from my father, so I can attest to it's high level of maintenance going back at least ten years. The tires have less than 2000 miles on them, the battery is new. Comes with the original tool kit, hard case saddle bags (not sure of they're original, but they're definitely made for this bike), and the shown engine guards. Other than changing the oil in the spring (which I do myself), she's needed nothing from me. While I love this bike, and could tell you that I'm only selling it because I need room in the garage for my '65 Dream restoration project, the reality is that my wife has me on a strict three-bike-limit, and I'm just not willing to part with any of the others. I'm more than happy to answer any questions or provide more detailed photos upon request, and if you're in or near Columbus, OH and want to inspect in person, feel free to reach out. On May-13-18 at 14:23:11 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTENTION: I was informed by a wiser ebayer than myself that this bike is actually a 1976, and that the color is Candy Antares Red. I thought it was a '76, but the documentation I received when I inherited the bike from my dad's estate had it listed as a '75. If if this is a deal-breaker for anyone who has currently bid on the bike feel free to contact me privately. As we've not yet hit the reserve (though it's close), I'm just going to let this auction run it's course with this notice serving as an update and full-disclosure. I'm definitely not trying to deceive anyone; just trying to get this pretty lady to a good home. What can I say? This bike is a classic.
