Vehicle Detail
Hello folks, Thanks for stopping by !! This car you are viewing is a very nice example of a 1947 Ford survivor ! . She was purchased in 1977 by Colvin Gish. He took great care of his cars and always kept a log. He passed it on to his cousin back in 1992 . I am currently selling for his cousin. The car has about everything repaired over the past 40 years that is needed or when needed. See extra parts in trunk. Also note spare original transmission , plus new brake shoes any many parts . I have the car title in hand for the new owner. The following is a little brief history told to me by the owner . see large pictures below 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Tudor Sedan 67,796 miles, believed to be original. This car has been in the family 41 years. May 3, 1977. Purchased for $1200.00 with 53,369 miles. April 28, 1978. Cloth part of the door panels reupholstered for $157.00. 53,900 miles. The rest of the interior is original. There is wear on the front, drivers side seat bottom, under the knee, but the rest of the interior is in good shape. The dash plastic and knobs are perfect. The dash plastic is proof that this car was never left outside for extended periods of time. All the gauges work, except the clock. The radio does not work. At Hershey AACA swap meet in 1981, dealer type gray plaid seat covers were purchased. These covers have never been out of the box. May 8, 1980. Car painted with the closest color match to the original color of Pheasant Red. Door jambs and under hood are still the original paint. There was no rust repair required in any area, and no body damage of any kind. $850.00, 54,560 miles. March 28, 1981. Front/Back bumpers were re-plated. $56.00. 54,930 miles. Also four new bumper tips were purchased. $75.00 June 19, 1982. Engine overhauled. $500.06 55258 miles. June 6, 1992. 56453 miles. Car transferred to present owners. (cousin) At this time, five sets of seat belts were installed. (the middle of the back seat seat set was installed so that our first grandson could go on car tours with us. He is 22 now!) May 27, 2004. Complete new exhaust system. $413.70. 66,900 miles. New Gas tank from Oklahoma Ford Parts Obsolete. 2 years ago. New front brake wheel cylinders. 2 years ago. In trunk is a complete set of new shoes, and two new rear wheel cylinders. (not needed at this time) March 2, 2018. New, (not rebuilt) ’94 Carburetor from C&G Ford Parts. (a Dennis Carpenter reproduction) $360.00. 67,777 miles. March 2, 2018. New 6 volt battery. $49.02. 67,777 miles. After 41 years of family enjoyment, and many tours around the Midwest, it’s time for a new family. Just to ad there is the original transmission in the truck with a large amount of other parts. NEW Brakes shoes and wheel cylinders. This just had a NEW carb and fuel pump installed.
