This is a very nice 1973 280C Coupe. It is in one of the most desirable colors for this car - AQUA BLUE. When Mercedes changed the w114 coupes from the 250c to 280c the most notable difference is that the 280c has a dual overhead cam inline 6 as opposed to the single cam set up in the 250c. This car was originally purchased overseas in Germany. The man stationed there knew he was going to be eventually bringing it back to the states so he ordered it with US specs as you can see below. Please note the car was also ordered with a central power locking system which is fairly uncommon on these coupes. It also has power windows. The original owner brought the car from Germany back to his home in the US. After he died his son got it. The people I bought it from purchased the car from the son. It has only had two families to ever own it and the miles as you can see pictured are actual as documented on title. The car has had one repaint. The underneath of the car is absolutely beautiful. The entire under carriage is in excellent condition...a very well cared for garage kept car. The interior is in excellent condition as well. Only one crack on the dash where they commonly seem to. The wood looks like new. The car starts right up and has plenty of power. For a w114 it has a good amount of pick up. I have put about 2K in to the car; new front and rear Bilsteins, the gas tank has been boiled and is like new, oil/air filter change etc. Brakes are all set and tires are in good condition. It has the original first aid and tool kit.(the tool kit has some pieces that are missing though you can find them on ebay) All of the chrome is in really excellent condition!! The only thing this car really needs is a new owner to enjoy it and do to it whatever he or she sees fit. It is ready to be driven and enjoyed now.
