For sale is a used 1998 GL1500SE Gold Wing trike. The Gold Wing has 61,364 original miles on it and could accumulate more before it sells. Trike conversion has around 17,000 miles. The paint color is matched to the original 2 tone SE Gold Wing. The conversion is made by Roadsmith and is fully independent rear suspension, NOT a straight axle. Disc Brakes. Roadsmith is one of the one of the most reliable and comfortable rides on the market. The trike rides/drives great and is a very comfy ride for long distance trips. A receiver for trailer towing is standard on this conversion, but this one has never been used. Roadsmith factory floor boards support weight and can be stepped on. 6* EZ steer installed and fork tubes have heavier progressive springs instead of the stock original. Front wheel has a heavier rear duty tire installed which wears/handles much better. The front tire has about 60% tread left. Rear tires are excellent tread and quiet running. There is ample storage in the large lower spacious trunk, along with the original upper Gold Wing trunk compartment. This trike does not have an auxiliary gas tank. Engine runs whisper quiet as is typical of Gold Wings. There are no fluid leaks anywhere and engine doesn’t burn or consume oil. Anti-freeze was changed before winter storage last fall. Reverse works fine. Optional parking brake installed for added convenience and is located just below the right side passenger floor board. There is a battery tender plug installed, but the charger is not included in the sale. Driver’s backrest flips forward and passenger armrests swing out for easy seat access. Timing belt was changed 2 years ago. The battery has been replaced within the last 2 years. Engine oil change has about 1300 miles on it. Cruise control works perfectly. Stereo radio and cb work and are original and has front/rear speakers. I do not know if the cassette player works, I have never tried it. There are Intercom connections for driver and passenger. Clear View extra wide windscreen with air vent installed. Starts and runs great. There are some small stone chips on the fenders that may not show in the pictures. This is a common occurrence on trikes. There are also a few bug smears that probably don’t show up too. The trike is not showroom perfect but is very nice considering it is a 1998. I am not the original owner but I have always kept it in a garage when not in use. There are NO known issues and it is ready to ride. There are NO helmets,intercom equipment, manuals, rain-gear or bike covers included in the sale of this trike.
