Vehicle Detail

2004.5 DURAMAX LLY / SILVERADO 3500 SRW - CREW CAB 8' BED Up for sale is my 2004.5 Duramax LLY Silverado 3500 Crew Cab Long Bed with the single rear wheel. The truck was purchased new by my father in law in 2004. In 2015, with 260,000 miles, I took the truck over and titled it in my name. Over the past 3 years, many upgrades have been accomplished, and the truck continued to drive 300 miles per day 5 days per week. It is now time to sell this highly upgraded truck for someone else to put to good use. Since 2006, the truck has received annual Fluid Film treatments in October/ November., so the frame and body show well for the age and mileage. ENGINE: 6.6 Duramax LLY with 460,000 miles This engine has been run on AMSOIL since 39,000 miles (First oil change after free oil changes under 3yr 36k warranty period). All of the oil / filter changes have been accomplished at 8-10k mile intervals with Amsoil Diesel Oil and an Amsoil filter. In addition, the FASS filters and engine fuel filter were changed at the same interval as oil and oil filter...every 8k-10k. At 290,000, I replaced all 8 fuel injectors with new Bosch OE injectors. Additionally, the head gaskets were done, which was the original reason for taking the truck into my shop for a few months and performing the following list of upgrades.Engine upgrades done at this time include:- S&B intake, intake tube, and oversized turbo inlet / elbow.- EGR blocker- PCV Re-route.- MBRP Stainless 4" turbo back exhaust (no muffler) with axle dump and 6" tip.- EFI Live DSP 5 switch and tune by Idaho Rob.- Sinister Diesel CAT Fuel Filter adapter and spacer- FASS Platinum 150 lift pump - EDGE CTS monitor with injector balance rates and ability to view and clear diagnostic codes.- EGT Probe installed for EDGE CTS DRIVE LINES AND DIFFERENTIAL: Both the front and rear differentials are running Amsoil Severe Gear 75W90, and have been since the first differential fluid change at 80k. Since then, the rear diff fluid has been changed every 35k-40k, and the front fluid changed very other time I changed the rear, which made the front diff fluid change intervals about 80k miles. At 290,000, I installed a custom made aluminum one piece driveline made by Duramax Store. This driveline is made specifically for the crew cab with an 8' bed, and eliminates the center carrier bearing that frequently causes vibration under load and factory 2 piece driveline. Additionally at 290,000, a new added capacity finned MAG-HITEC rear differential cover was installed. TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFER CASE: Transfer case was replaced at 263k, and an OE transfer case from GM was installed. Prior to instal, the pump rub kit was installed to ensure no future transfer case failures would occur do to the known pump rub issue. Allison "spin on " transmission filter changed and magnet checked / cleaned at 8k-10k intervals with transmission fluid drain PAN ONLY. Transfer case fluid changed at the same interval as the front differential....about 80k intervals. SUSPENSION, STEERING, and BRAKES: Inner and outer tie rod ends replaced with new AC Delco parts, and Merchant Automotive Tie Rod Sleeves were installed for added strength. Bilstein 5100 shocks installed in all 4 corners.Brakes- front brake pads were replaced a few months back. INTERIOR: The interior of this truck is extremely clean for its age and mileage. The drivers seat shows signs of wear on the edge that was repaired with a sewn in patch on the inside. The drivers seat cushion was replaced at that time. Everything works as it should, although a few of the backlighting bulbs inside the temperature control panel are burnt out. Other than that, its a very clean interior. A full set of Weathertech floor mats are included with the truck. BODY: THIS TRUCK HAS 460,000 MILES ON IT!! THIS TRUCK IS NOT IN SHOWROOM CONDITION!!! THERE ARE NUMEROUS NICKS, CHIPS, DINGS, SCRATCHES, WINDSHIELD CHIPS AND CRACKS, ETC. IT LOOKS GOOD FROM 10' AWAY, BUT I WILL NOT CLAIM IT TO BE PERFECT. IT HAS ORIGINAL ROCKER PANELS AND ORIGINAL CAB CORNERS THAT ARE LOADED WITH YEARS OF FLUID FILM AND ARE NOT ROTTED OUT. OVERALL, NOT TO BAD OF A TRUCK, BUT IT HAS 460,000 MILES ON IT!!! The bed and bed rails were coated with line-x when the truck was new. EXTRAS INCLUDED WITH THE SALE: I have acquired the following parts over the last few years that will not fit any of my other trucks, so I am including them with this auction. There is about $1200 worth of parts here. - Set of 5 BF Goodrich A/T KO 265/75/16 tires with about 50% life remaining. The current tires are at about 25% remaining tread.- Numerous CAT Fuel Filters / water separators for the FASS pump and the engine fuel filter.- Set of 4 new AC Delco brake rotors for the front and rear. Not required to install, but I have them in the shop, and they will go with the truck.- Pair /set of rear brake pads. Not required yet, but will go with the truck- New upper and Lower radiator hoses. Not required, but was going to change them on the next coolant flush, so they will go with the truck.- New Fuel pressure regulator and associated gaskets required for install. Will more than likely be needed some time soon. At times, when the outside temperature is in the teens, the engine idle speed will surge momentarily until it warms up.- Case of AMSOIL Diesel Oil 12 qts. for the next oil change.- Spare S&B air filter- New set of wheel center caps. Purchased when new wheels were purchased in 2016.- Set of 4 steel rims - One Bilstein 5100 rear shock - will need to be re-installed on the R/H rear at some point. the upper shock mount bracket is broken, and will need to be welded back. A NOTE ON THE EFI LIVE TUNE: THIS TRUCK WAS USED TO MAKE ME MONEY....I NEEDED IT TO DRIVE 300+ MILES PER DAY, RELIABLY, WITHOUT ISSUE....AND MAKE MONEY. I WILL NOT TELL ANYONE THAT I NEVER TURNED THE EFI NOB UP AND HAD SOME FUN, BECAUSE I DID...... THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS - 99% OF THE TIME, THE TRUCK IS DRIVEN IN THE STOCK TUNE. THE ONLY REASON FOR THE TUNE WAS TO ELIMINATE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THAT WOULD BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE EXHAUST AND EGR MODS. ALL OF THE MODS WERE DONE TO KEEP THE ENGINE AND TURBO AS COOL AND EFFICIENT / ECONOMICAL AS POSSIBLE. MILEAGE NOTE: AT THE TIME OF THIS LISTING, THE MILEAGE SITS AT 458,800. I AM ADVERTISING IT AT 460,000 BECAUSE I PLAN TO RUN IT ONCE PER WEEK UNTIL IT SELLS JUST TO KEEP IT EXERCISED. PAYMENT TERMS: I will require that a $500 deposit be made through Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment will be due within 3 days of auction end(Cash, Cleared Bank Check, or Paypal). If you need to make the entire purchase via Paypal, you will be responsible for an additional 3.5% fee. I am fine with accepting Paypal for the entire purchase, but will need to invoice you accordingly AFTER your $500 deposit has been paid within 24 hours. Please, if you would like to make the entire purchase on Paypal, just keep the communication open. I am flexible, but don't want to pay any unnecessary fees because of lack of communication and errors. SHIPPING: Buyer arranges and pays for shipping. All of the extras included in the sale will be inside the truck.I will make myself available to meet a shipper / truck driver any time to help load. TITLE: Title is clean and in my name with no liens. It is available for immediate release. Once payment is cleared, I will overnight the title to your Paypal address. Overall, this is a wonderful driving truck that has been very well cared for. It is not a showpiece, but does look good from 10' away or less for the age and mileage. I would not hesitate on bit to drive this truck across the country and back today, but it is not new, and will eventually need tinkering. I have done my best to describe all I can, but encourage questions. Feel free to ask away, and dont hesitate to make reasonable offers. Thanks for lookingDan
