My latest restoration project is up for sale!! I found this matching numbers 1970 Bonneville T120R in a storage building in SC where it had been stored for many years. See the pictures for before photos. I am not a big bike guy, I just appreciate the finer cars and motorcycles. I usually build Porsche's and vintage autos. First the bike was COMPLETELY disassembled: Frame: The frame and all metal sub-frame sections were sand blasted. The frame and swing arms sections were powder coated and the rest of the plates and such were painted in the proper black. Re assembly included replacement of all bushing and barings, and in a lot of cases new stainless nuts and bolts. Original nuts and bolts where used on the entire bike only if they could be polished up nice. New OEM quality nuts and bolts used when replacements needed. Engine: The engine was handed over to Speed Deluxe of Chattanooga, Tn where British bike specialist preformed complete rebuild, including transmission, orig Amal carbs, polishing side covers, etc. Forks: The forks were also given to Speed Deluxe where they did complete rebuild and upgraded the triple tree bearings. Paint: Speed Deluxe also performed the paint which is as close as possible to the original design. Astral Red paint on gas tank and fenders, and silver scallops on tank. And stripes and gold trim on the fenders. Other key features: Wheels replaced with original type replacements from England with new stainless spokes and period correct tires. Electronic ignition added Seat cover and foam replaced Brand new exhaust added with crossover pipe Original gauges professional rebuilt, and ALL controls and cables replaced with new Also replaced with new - chain, brakes, battery, rubber foot rest, fender stays, gas cap, badges and decals, complete wiring harness, headlight bowl and handlebars, tail lens, polished taillight base, and more I'am sure but can't remember. Matching serial numbers on the Title/VIN, the frame and engine are HD56985 T120R. When I completed the reassemble I turned the bike over to Speed Deluxe for fine tuning and check ride. They put approx. 100 miles on it and I've put approx. 110 miles for a total of 210 miles on bike since restoration. I did not skimp on anything, with the goal to build the nicest example of this fine motorcycle!! Included with the bike is 2 sets of keys, several manuals, all of the receipts (approx $14,500) and a detailed excel sheet itemizing the parts and worked performed (Yes I am anal about this stuff). Payment: I will accept paypal for the initial $500 deposit and require final paymet within 7 days via cashier check, money order, or wire transfer. Cash is preferred if picking up in person.
