Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1976 Jeep Cherokee 2-Door SUV Original Black Paint Survivor Straight Six & 4-Speed Power Steering You are bidding on an original survivor 1976 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 sport utility wagon. Still wearing original black paint with white roof paint and white tape stripes. This rig is a daily driver with the original 258 cubic inch 6-cylinder and 4-speed manual transmission. The steel wheels are original, the wheel covers original, the front seats just reupholstered to match the pattern of the factory rear seat, new rear side panels, new rubber floor mats. Rear window, tailgate, doors, side windows all work properly. Starts easily, runs well, reliable. Power steering, manual brakes, four-wheel drive operates as it should. The truck does have an exhaust leak. No major rust issues, original paint so nothing hidden. A couple of minor front floor board repairs, but that's it... solid rockers, outer body, roof, etc. Very solid in my opinion. Some dings and dents as you can see. The grill is outstanding, chrome nice, and glass unbroken. Receiver hitch for towing your boat, toys, etc. These rigs were somewhat primitive when new, more so by modern standards. It’s a kick to drive with power steering, manual brakes. Missing passenger outside mirror and radio, dash pad cracked with mat over it. Mileage shows as 61k and change; no way of knowing if it's turned over or not; the safe bet is that it has 161k. That said, very sound running rig you can get in and drive. This is a very rare opportunity to own a rare original paint Cherokee survivor; definitely one of the coolest 4x4's ever built. She’s a head-turner for sure! You may call me directly at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have. Please, no zero- or low-feedback buyers without contacting me first. Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc. International buyers are welcome as long as you contact me first, and are able to pay promptly. Please be prepared to remit payment in full within 3 days of auction's end via deposit to my Bank of America account, or bank-to-bank wire transfer. While every effort is being made to describe the Jeep as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 41-year-old classic and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Expect minor gremlins and small issues associated with a vintage vehicle of this age and era. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I will make the vehicle and myself available for loading on short notice, and can help coordinate a carrier if that helps you. Please feel free to call Tim at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have.
