*****UPDATE***** In order not to confuse any of you that are watching the auction or anyone that has previously viewed the auction, I want to provide this update rather than change the original description. I decided to take the vehicle to Mercedes of Pensacola yesterday to have the Tele Aid system recoded rather than go with the work around described below. I picked it up this morning and the Tele Aid message issue is resolved. You can ignore the below discussion about the Tele Aid message. It is gone for good. The dealer also advised me that the battery was weak. I took the car straight to NAPA and had them test the battery. It was bad and the car now has a fresh battery courtesy of the Napa battery warranty on the old one. Now, for the original description We have owned this car for just over 10 years. It has only seen seasonal use and averaged 8 to 9 months a year in indoor storage. On average, we have put just short of 2300 miles a year on it. It has always been a southern car. We never took it outside of Southern Alabama and Northwest Florida. Prior to us purchasing the car off lease, the car was used primarily in and around the Orlando Florida area. I have included photos of the original window sticker as well as the Vehicle Master inquiry (VMI) to show exactly how the vehicle is configured. It has nearly every available option and had an MSRP of $92,755 when new. Being a southern car, there is no rust or corrosion and the paint is like new. There has been no paint or body work and it has a clean Carfax. There are a few chips on the front bumper and a scratch on the rear bumper. The body itself is near perfect with one or two VERY minor dings that did not break the paint and you have to search for them to find them. Everything under the hood is in near new condition and the car runs and drives great. The tires all match and still have lots of tread. The wheels are AMG wheels with the usual minor curb rash. The Distronic Cruise Control functions as it should, maintaining speed and or position with other traffic. The interior has wear consistent with the vehicle age and mileage. The seats are Nappa leather seats which are both heated and ventilated. The front passenger seat bottom has one panel that has been repaired with stitching (see photos). The Tele Aid system (Mercedes version of Onstar) is obsolete and no longer supported since it is analog and all the cell systems are now digital. Upon startup, you will get a nuisance message related to the Tele Aid. Clearing the message simply requires one momentary push of the instrument panel reset button. Alternatively, you can take it to a Mercedes dealer and they can recode the software to remove the message permanently. The original first aid kit and the original tool kit are included. All manuals are also included as are two keys and two Keyless Go electronic cards. Both cards work as they should. One key works in the ignition, but does not work as a remote. The other key works fine. All door handles will unlock the vehicle using the Keyless Go system. Only the driver's door and the right rear passenger door handles function to centrally lock the vehicle using the Keyless Go system. The other two door handles could be replaced to restore this function and are usually readily available on eBay. We just use the driver's door to lock and unlock the vehicle. Basically, a really nice, clean, non smoking car offered at the low end of KBB value with no reserve. Please ask all questions before bidding. The car is available for inspection in Orange Beach, AL.
