Vehicle Detail
Once Bidding starts there will be no reserve. Matching Numbers engine in matching numbers transmission, I had the matching numbers engine pulled out last spring 2017 and had it rebuilt by a machine shop in Wallingford Connecticut, It was rebuilt to factory specifications, it’s a 350 Chevy small block with 270 hp with a mild cam which it can actually be closer to 300 hp because it’s pretty peppy. I also put a new clutch kit in when reinstalling the matching numbers engine, The matching numbers engine has approximately 400 miles on it. It is a 3 owner car, Car runs and drives 100%. I have the original owners manual and brochure of 1971 Corvettes, along with the build sheet from the engine rebuild to many many receipts throughout the years. I also have a title from way back in 1982 when the second owner purchased the car. That title is no longer useful because of its age, its now a novelty but it’s nice to have, it also documents the purchase to the third owner. New Doug headers and Doug side exhaust (with a louder sounding muffer inside sidepipe) were also installed Spring of 2017. New AC Delco shocks, Replaced seat coverings. The rest of the interior is original including seat frames carpeting – and door panels emergency brake cover was replaced. The exterior paint is not the original color, The original color was green, The silver paint is aged but presentable as you see from the pictures, To make the car pristine it will need new paint, As there is some staining in the paint and just a few small chips, but again very presentable. The original exhaust still remains for cosmetic purposes. The rear end differential mount will need replacing which is very common. Frame and birdcage are extra clean. The windshield frame has no rust and is also extra clean. Headlights go up and down and the windshield wiper door goes up-and-down but can use a new vacuum diaphragm. Its rides a little hard in the front end area but that seems to be the norm. I think I covered everything but I’m sure you might have some questions. Feel free to call me 203-410-4700
