Hello, Up for sale is my Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4. If you may not know, some highlights unique to the VR4's are all wheel drive, four wheel steering, active aero package, and the highly sought after 3.0l v6 twin turbo packing 300hp. These cars were groundbreaking for the time. 0-60 time was right around 6 seconds, which was fast for the time. Some competition to these was the Toyota Supra, Mazda Rx7, Porsche 911, and the Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo. This car was also MotorTrend Import Car of the Year. Moving on to the specifics of my car, I will explain the history of the car in depth. I am the third owner of the vehicle. The first owner had it for 1 year. He was an attorney in Kansas City. He sold it to a man in St joseph MO where it lived most of it's life. I traded the car about 2 months ago with Motoexotica in Fenton. They were wanting $18,500. The reason I am selling it is I am looking for something different. I have all of the paperwork for the car including a new timing belt, and 120k mile maintenance done at 87,000 miles in 2013. I also have every receipt for oil change that the car has had. Always had Mobil 1 synthetic. Some other misc receipts. 6 weeks ago I put in brand new plugs, an oil change, filter, and new wiper blades. Lastly, I have the original sales brochure, dealer option sheet, and window sticker that has a sticker price of $37000. Onto the mechanics and cosmetics of the car. The motor runs really strong, runs cool, and doesn't smoke. I have an idle issue with it. Idles around 2000rpms and then surges ( or revs up and down) when you drive it and come to a stop. I had it diagnosed, so I cleaned out the throttle body and the IAC valve. the extensive research I've done shows that it may need a new IAC valve, or it may have a vacuum leak. Revs up a little when I press the brake pedal, so I think the brake booster may have a vaccum leak. Also, there is an anti lock light on, and a srs light on. From the code readings and my investigation, the srs is on because of a speed sensor. The aero spoiler works! The digital screen for the climate control doesn't light up, but the heat and a/c work excellent. I will attach a link on how to fix these issues. Cosmetically wise, the car is nice. There is no rust, even the underside is spectacular. Has a small transmission drip. On the rear plastic bumper, there is two dents. There are no real chips or scratches. Just a few spider web scratches on lower bumper and front spoiler. With a little bit of time, some of the 90s technology will be fixed, and then this will be a show car. I just do not have the time. These cars were ahead of their time, and many of the cool features went out days after they left the lot. Keep in mind it is 27 years old, and is incredibly documented, and only has 88,000 miles! I am super honest, so bid with confidence! Reserve is reasonable, want to sell it to someone who will bring this car back to its prime condition!
