Vehicle Detail

Private sale of a 1980 Dodge Clubcab Shortbox. In overall decent unrestored condition. Fabulous '70's style colour combination of PZ6531 CASHMERE and PY5543 GINGER. With a classic style wheel/tire combination installed, along with some nicer sounding mufflers, and some retro style door decals, this would make an awesome vintage looking “shop” truck. It has so many possibilities. Even as is, in it’s classic mostly-original condition, it’s a very nice little truck. We are, as I’m told, the 3rd owners. Truck came from the dry and desert-like interior region of BC, where the original owner kept is as an occasional vehicle for over 35 years. For a long time, it was pursued by the son of a Dodge dealership, and eventually purchased by him. We bought it from him. It has only 57,890 original miles. There are a few tell tale signs that would seem to support this mileage. Although not much for provenance, there is some paperwork that supports this as well. Since the truck was stored away inside for a long time it has been relatively conserved but, could probably benefit from a tune-up. After idling for a while, the engine slightly loads up with fuel. This could be a choke adjustment, or call out for new plugs. Otherwise, It seems to run and drive well, and there are no apparent oil leaks. The seat has some rips on the driver's seating surface, and the fabric portion of the seat should be reupholstered. The rest is fine. The plastic door panels are sun-faded, and so is the dash. There are several chips throughout the paint commensurate with age and use, but it seems to be in generally very nice and shiny condition. A couple small touch up areas are apparent and I'm told this was done by the original owner for rust prevention, maintenance, and longevity. The grill surround has a couple small scratches and about a dozen small screw holes from a bug screen. Also, the tires really do not suit the truck well, and do not do much for it's stance or appearance. I have some new wheels for it but, am leaving them out of this sale, believing the new owner will likely have their own preference. I originally bought the truck for it’s condition and collectibility but, I’ve become distracted with other things. As such, we’re not using to be doing anything with it. Overall, it’s a pretty decent vintage pickup in a semi-rare configuration but that’s my opinion. I've tried to cover everything in detail but, may miss something unintentionally. You can call me for a verbal walk-around, where I describe everything while looking at it. That way, you get the full detail. To arrange a call, email me at bravohomes@rocketmail.com, or just write there anyway with inquiries. I don’t want to get caught up in descriptive perspectives so, we’re just selling this unreserved as a 1/10 project truck. Somebody’s going to get a good deal. Where we will put our efforts is to help the new owner, in any way we can, arranging delivery of their new/old truck. As you can see by our feedback, we’ve sold off more than 14 of our oldies now to different destinations across the US and been pretty good at it. Everyone’s been happy and my wife has become quite adept at arranging delivery for a fair price. This is amongst the last of our vehicles to go. Because of the age, domestic build, and antique status of this truck, there are no import export restrictions. Nothing is required. It’s free as a bird to travel. TRUCK IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN CALGARY ALBERTA CANADA. Ebay has no provision for persons with multiple residences. It can be brought to Great Falls or shipped from Calgary. As a final-final-final thought....We are taking a big chance by listing this truck UNRESERVED. I am hoping that it narrows down the bidder pool to only super-serious and genuine buyers. Please, please... Write to me, call me, message, email. I will reply or answer quickly, informatively, and happily. Don't worry about being bothersome.... I'm always up for some "car-talk" with a fellow enthusiast. Your bid is a contract to buy; not to consider, reconsider, and then ignore. I'd rather answer honestly and describe accurately than have a "misunderstanding" afterwards. I cannot stress enough... Look at the feedback comments from people that bought from us. I promise to be Mr. Helpful for you too !!! We have a little procedure. It focuses on a good back/forth flow of communication, and works flawlessly. Here's how it goes:Immediately after winning auction, YOU send us your buyer's information, exactly as you would like it to appear.WE confirm receipt of such.WE fill everything in, including title, and send it back to you.YOU confirm receipt of such and acknowledge.WE send banking information.YOU validate receipt of such.YOU go to your bank and make transfer.WE confirm receiptWE immediately get to work on shipping duties.YOU get your fabulous new/old truck, and confirm/validate how happy you are!!!*You'll see that all communication is constantly validated and acknowledged. I am very adamant about this procedure and will not deviate. It is so easy and works so well. If, for any reason, you cannot oblige to this little system, we will assume that something isn't "right" anyway. If you would like to pick up your vehicle, please keep in mind, that doesn't extend any payment period. It will still have to be paid for first. Your bid is a commitment to buy (not come examine, then decide). This is an unreserved auction for a reason. I want simplicity. Scrimping every dime to top dollar is not my goal. Payment is still due within 48 hours!!! If you are cynical about the condition... Refer to my feedback. And finally, no... I don't have a price in mind.If you have an offer, we'd certainly consider. (I can appreciate the go-getter approach and have closed many of our previous auctions early).
