My father's vehicle, he is older and only used it the past few years to grocery shop and visit friends. It's time for him to pass on the keys after taking a fall this winter. The Bumper to Bumper warranty also has 60,000 miles in which you have 57,346 miles left, far more than you will receive on many new cars. Look at every comparable Kia Soul Plus's on eBay; there is none with this low mileage and showroom condition exterior and interior. Not a single scratch, ding or dent, inside or out. Not a single nick or mark on the alloy wheels. All the required service (including three oil changes over the 2,654 miles) always completed by Kia's Dealers' Service Department. From the Manual “TheWarranty Period (page 4 and 5 of Kia Soul Plus warranty manual) The New Vehicle Limited Warranty is divided into various warranty periods. For the purpose of all warranties contained in this Manual(other than warranties on replacement parts or accessories installed after the Kia Vehicle was placed into use), the warranty period begins on the Date of First Service. “Date of First Service” means the first date the Kia Vehicle is delivered to the first retail purchaser, is leased or is placed into service as a company vehicle use (e.g., as a demonstrator, rental or fleet vehicle), whichever is earliest. Moreover, whenever this manual refers to a warranty period of months/miles, it means whichever comes first. Any remaining portion of any warranty, except the 120 month/100,000 mile Power Train (Original Owner) warranty, is fully transferable to subsequent owners.“ Important: Only the Power Train (Original Owner) warranty, that only covers only the engine and transmission is reduced to the same as the bumper to bumper warranty above on subsequent owners, which is 5 years, 60K miles or on this vehicle, which is January 29, 2020 or 60K miles, whichever comes first. Above I have listed 1/292021, this is not correct, it should be 1/29/2000 so nearly two full years and 57,000 miles. This is true with most manufactures on power train warranties unless the car is certified by a dealer, which usually ads $500.00 to the cost. I have a 2011 Hyundai Genesis (Hyunda owns a large portion of Kia). The bumper to bumper warranty was fully transferable and Hyundai gave me the 10 year 1000 mile powertrain warranty but added $500.00 to the sale of the vehicle to transfer the powertrain warranty and deemed it a Certified Vehicle. I still own the 2011 car, fantastic vehicle.
