I sold this car on ebay about two months ago, but the buyer was not able to complete the sale. He had a death in the family. He's in the Buffalo NY area, so weather was a big factor getting here and his wife was not happy about buying a car sight unseen, which I understand, so the car is up for auction again. I rescued this 61 from the previous owner of 19 years. It has a 383/500hp, 4 speed. It's powered by dual edelbrock carburetors. The engine was rebuilt and only has less than 100 miles on it. That's all the mileage the PO put on the car in 19yrs of ownership. Stainless steel exhaust was added when the engine was rebuilt about 6 years ago. I don't know what gears the rear end has. I did drive the car but not far on twenty year old tires. The original color was Jewel Blue but was repainted more of a Frost Blue from 1959. It has ALL new interior from the dash pad to the carpet, door panels, seat belts, seat covers, door sills, etc. All glass in good shape and in working order. The soft top was folded up for all of those 20 yrs of ownership and has shrunk, and a tear on the drivers side seen in the picture, so it will need to be replaced. I may have access to another top. The gas tank was boiled out and lined by PO. He also installed new tie rod ends, so it will need an alignment. The radio is not factory, but It does come on, but will not pick up a station. The clock and wiper motor are not hooded up. There's no jack but tools and spare are there. It has new parking lamps and tail lights. The door post and windshield frame are pretty decent. Very light pitting. The bumpers are driver quality but not all rusted up. It was a soft top only car. It never had a hard top. The front end on the car was hit at some point before he bought it and repaired, but it's showing its age. It was painted before he bought the car in 1998, so It has numerous scrapes/scratches that have been touched up but it looks good from 10'. When they made the repair, they filled in the cowl vent for some reason. I have new weather stripping for the doors and a new lower grill molding. I know there are some things on the car that are not correct for a 61, but it's a driver, not an NCRS car and never will be.
