We bought this car 9 years ago and have put over 100,000 miles on it, this has been the best car that we have ever had!! Other than regular maintenance, all I have had to change is the direction switch, oil pan gasket, upper & lower inner rear control arms and an overflow hose. Interior is in great shape, no tears or major blemishes. Exterior is rust free and in good shape, a few small dings on the hood (had a plastic wall cabinet come loose and fall on the hood &*&#@!%^*$^&%*^$#!@!!!!) and a soft crease on the rear passenger quarter, complements of some good Samaritan in a parking lot. Both are not really noticeable, had to get the pics on just the right angle to get them to show up. Has cross drilled & vented rotors with ceramic pads installed last spring. I believe it has every factory option installed…. Cruise, AC, heated seats, AM/FM/CD stereo, power sun roof, ground effects and spoiler, etc… and everything works. Two minor issues that appear to be common on these cars: There is a “rattling” sound that it sometimes makes after it warms up. Only does it at idle, does not do it under load, does not get louder with load or increased rpm, can’t hear it inside of the car, only from the outside. From the research that I have done, I believe it to be a timing chain tensioner. It has been doing it for a while, I thought it was an exhaust heat shield, and has not gotten any louder. A new timing chain kit is about $450 online. There is also a “hesitation” that has been there since I bought it, primarily when it is cold out… the colder it is the worse the hesitation. It seems to hesitate less if I use the sport shift mode, or I shift it manually to get the rpms a little higher before I shift. I did some research a few years ago and found a bunch of things that it could be but it never bothered me enough to look into.
