This is a genuine 98k original mile survivor Sky Bird in original condition, running & driving. Call Tim at 360-936-9257 with any questions. 1977 Pontiac Firebird “Sky Bird” special limited edition model, all original, still wearing original paint, wheels, interior, and drivetrain. Running and driving condition, all CA emissions components still on engine; essentially an unmolested survivor. The first of three consecutive year limited edition ‘Birds, the first was the Sky Bird *(modeled after the 1976 Blue Bird show car), followed by the Red bird in 1978 and the Yellow Bird in 1979. The Sky Bird is very rare, and this one is a loaded runner/driver. All were built on the Esprit trim platform; features unique to the Sky Bird included the following: -Lombard Blue Exterior paint -Blue Formula/Trans Am steering wheel -Dark Blue accent stripes in Bandit / Special Edition style -Lombard Blue door handle trim -Lombard Blue snowflake wheels -Lombard Blue tail lamp bezels -Lombard Blue grills -Dark Blue Sky Bird graphics on sail panels and deck lid -Light Blue matching interior This particular car is a very well-optioned model, including the biggest and best Esprit engine option, the 350 4v Pontiac V8.... lesser options included a 231 V6 and the not-much better 301 2v V8. The Pontiac 350 4v option ruled. Additional options include tilt steering column, standard radio AND 8-track player, full instrumentation package including tachometer, Air Conditioning, and rear window defrost. Standard features including power steering and power disc brakes. This example is pretty much loaded with about everything you could get! Good glass throughout, windows roll up and down properly. Starts easily, seemingly a sound engine. Good power steering, and power disc brakes. Seems sound; you may want to service the systems before considering it your daily driver, but I have no reason to believe you couldn’t hop in and go across the country. I’ve tuned the engine and it runs fine but I believe the original Quadra Jet carb should be rebuilt for full performance. The air conditioner compressor is off the engine; included but not mounted. The A/C system would need to be serviced appropriately to be fully functional. Pretty clean, and unmolested under the hood. The paint is original, worn, but still has a decent shine. I’ve included pictures of the sail panels and deck lid where the original Sky Bird graphic still shows. The interior is worn but original and mostly complete. The rare blue dash pad is uncracked in in great condition. The lower door plastics and seat backs are faded (could be re-dyed), the seat upholstery is original but worn, and the carpets have been removed to inspect the floorboards. I have an in-house upholstery division and could sew you new exact seat upholstery. Headliner and package tray are not great. Missing glove box door; I MAY have one, and if I find it I will include it at no cost. Missing one sun visor but I have a spare I will include. The body is pretty darned straight, with the exception of a small dent on the driver’s door, and a dent in the passenger rear lower quarter area. No outer body rust issues to note; minor surface only. The trunk is rust-free other than surface. No rust-through anywhere I can see except the passenger-side rear foot well. Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for inspection and export.
